? .... _ . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />' ORDINANCE N0. 79-70 <br />PAGE 2. <br />? <br />.?? <br />The salaries of the above employees of the Recreation Center, with <br />the exception of the Recreation Center Manager, shall be determined <br />by the Recreation Center Manager, subject to confirmation by the <br />Recreation Commission according to examination, reputation, experience, <br />education, and knowledge in their field of specialty or undertaking. <br />Salaries for all of the above positions, including that of the Recreation <br />Center Manager shall be approved by the Safety Director of the City of <br />North Olmsted. Al1 salaries paid to the employees of the Recreation <br />Center shdll be on a bi-weekly basis, effective retroactively to January 1, 1979. <br />SECTION 2: That the full-time employees listed in Section 1 <br />hereof, having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, <br />as employees of said departments, shall be paid an additional four percent <br />(40) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of the <br />tenth (lOth) year of full-time continuous service, after which such <br />employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary; <br />thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full- <br />time continuous service, such employee shall get six percent (60) of their <br />base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year <br />of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full-time service <br />thereafter they shall receive seven percent (70) of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 3: That all full-time employees as designated in Section <br />hereof shall receive the following holidays off unless reQuested to work <br />by the Director of Safety in emergencies, and shall receive the regular <br />rate of pay: Independence Day; New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Labor Day; <br />Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Presidents' Day; employee's birthday; <br />and floating holiday. <br />SECTION 4: That all full-time employees as listed in Section 1 <br />hereof shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br />1 to 5 Years inclusive, of full-time service - Two Weeks Vacation <br />6 to 11 Years inclusive, of full-time service - Three Weeks Vacation <br />12 to 19 Years inclusive, of full-time service - Four Weeks Vacation <br />20 Years and over of full-time service - Five Weeks Vacation. <br />SECTION 5: That Ordinance No. 78-68 as previously adopted, and <br />any other or inances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare and for the further reason it is immediately <br />necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to in- <br />flation and cost of living increases, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST: <br />? <br />FLORENCE E.
