CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - 116 <br />BY: Mr. Wilamosky <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR <br />THE PAYMENT OF ACCUMULATED SICK LEAVE <br />TIME UPON THE RETIREMENT OR DEATH OF ALL <br />FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED WHO HAVE AT LEAST TEN YEARS <br />SERVICE TIME, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council heretofore established and adopted <br />a sick-leave policy for all full-time employees of the City of <br />North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has further augmented the sick-leave <br />policy by providing for a maximum amount to be paid full-time <br />employees upon retirement or death after 10 years of service <br />for unused, accumulated sick-leave time, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to increase the <br />maximum amount to be paid to full-time employees with at least <br />10 years of service for unused, accumulated sick-leave time, upon <br />retirement or death. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That unused accumulated sick-leave time in <br />accor ance wit the provisions of Ordinance No. 76-113 may be <br />converted at the time of retirement or death for all full-time <br />employees with 10 or more years of_ service. <br />SECTION 2: That the payment for all those who c{ualify under <br />Section 1 'fereof shall be based upon the rate of pay at the time of <br />retirement or death., and payments shall amount to one-fourth (1/4) <br />of the unused, accumulated sick-leave time, but in all instances <br />the maximum amount paid shall not exceed an amount in excess o_f an <br />accumulation of thirty (30) days at the employee's rate at the <br />time of retirement or death. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force~rom an~after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />SECTION 4: That Ordinance No. 74-168 and any other ordinance <br />or parts o or finances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />~ ~~ <br />Nora T.
