~ ~ y CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 76 - ~~~_ BY : G!~ AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL-TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 75-162, ENACTED JUNE 17, 1975, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to increase the salary of the Clerk of Council in accordance with the existing economic conditions: NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council oitFe City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full-time position and retroactive to March 1, 1976, the compen- sation to be paid to the said Clerk of Council shall be between the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Ten Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($10,400.00) annually. SECTION 2: That the Director of Finance be, and is hereby directed an aut orized to pay to the Clerk of Council a sum which shall be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted between Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Ten Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($10,400.00) annually, in bi- weekly installments for the services performed by said Clerk of Council, under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to time be determined to be necessary to be performed and which shall be determined by Council, and shall include the necessity of preparing a list of names and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment proceedings determined to be necessary by Council, and the names and addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements authorized by Council. SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each and evey year said Clerk of Council has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. This sume is to be paid in a lump sum on anniversary date of employment. SECTION 4: That the full-time Clerk of Council of the City of North blmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work by Council or the Mayor in emergencies: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; the employee's birthday, and floating holiday. SECTION 5: That the full-time Clerk of Council shall be entitled to an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation.
