r`: <br />s • ~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - //O <br />Page 2. <br />SECTION 3: That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, <br />all fu 1-time employees of the Building Department having completed five <br />(5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees of said department, <br />shall be paid an additional 4a of their base annual salary, thereafter <br />until completion of ten (10) years full-time continuous service, after <br />which such employee shall receive 50 of his base annual salary, thereafter <br />until the completion of the fifteenth (15th) year of continuous full-time <br />service, and thereafter 60 of their base annual salary until after the <br />completion of the twentieth (20th) year of continuous full-time service, <br />and during each year of full-time service thereafter they shall receive <br />7% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 4: In computing length of service for the .purpose of <br />making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit <br />shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the <br />purpose of computing longevity increments, and the exclusion for part-time <br />service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be <br />due them for part-time service, as employees of the Building Department. <br />SECTION S: That the employees of the Building Department shall not <br />be require to work .the following holidays, unless requested to work <br />by the Building Commissioner in an emergency: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's <br />birthday; President's Day; and floating holiday. <br />SECTION 6: That all full-time employees of the Building Department <br />shall e entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following <br />schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full-time service <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full-time service <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full-time service <br />Five (5) weeks vacation after twenty (20) years full-time service. <br />SECTION 7: That any other ordinances, or resolutions, or parts of <br />ordinances, or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the <br />provisions of this ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 75-158 enacted <br />June 17, 1975, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />ordinance. <br />SECTION 8: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward <br />a copy o~ t~iis ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the Director of <br />Finance for the payment of remuneration, as set forth above, immediately <br />upon its passage. <br />SECTION 9: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure i- m eTiately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to inflation <br />and cost of living increases, and further provided it receives the affirm- <br />ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayo <br />PASSED: ~ 7 /,~'~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
