~.,. i 4 . r ~1 ~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO . 76 - ~Q9 Page 2. service, after which such employee shall receive 40 of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full-time service, after which said employee shall receive 50 of their base annual salary until completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous full-time service, and thereafter each year of full- time service thereafter they shall receive 60 of their base annual salary as longevity increments. SECTION 4: That all full-time employees of the Engineering Department, w-its the exception of secretaries and clerks, shall receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Mayor in emergencies: New Year's Day; D4emorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; and the employee's birthday. SECTION 5: That all full-time employees of the Engineering Department s all be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full-time service Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full-time service Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full-time service Five (5) weeks vacation after twenty (20) years full-time service SECTION 6: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a copy o~t~iis Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth. SECTION 7: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance 75-165 enacted June 17, 1975, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 8: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
