4 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO . 76 - ~O <br />BY : j~ ls~ 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED AND ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES <br />OF THE MEMBERS OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT, AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 75-80, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in <br />Article V Section 2 provides for the organization of the <br />Department of Law to be 'headed by the Director of Law, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has or is in the process of <br />reviewing all departments with respect to salaries, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to establish an <br />organizational chart for the Department of Law: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Law Department of the City of North <br />Olmste~as provided in Article V, Section 2 of the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted is to be headed by the Director of <br />Law, and the employees thereof shall consist of two assistant <br />Directors of Law, one being a Civil Assistant, and the other <br />serving as Police Prosecutor. <br />SECTION 2: That the salaries to be paid to the various <br />employees ~t~ie Department of Law shall be as follotias: <br />A. Director of Law $15,600.00 annually, effective <br />January 1, 1976 through December 31, 1976 <br />$16,700.00 annually, effective <br />January 1, 1977 through December 31, 1977 <br />B. Assistant Director of Law (Civil) <br />$4,741.00 annually effective upon the passage hereof, retro- <br />active to March 1, 1976. <br />C. Assistant Director of Law (.Prosecutor) <br />$5,1~b.00 annually, retroactive to March 1, 1976. <br />In addition, the Prosecutor shall receive additional compen- <br />sation in the amount of $20.00 for each Not Guilty plea he <br />attends to on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Compensation to be paid to the Prosecutor as outlined in <br />Section 1(C) hereof shall become effective on the passage <br />hereof. <br />SECTION 3: That the Director of Finance be authorized <br />and directed to pay the Director of Law the sum of $6,330.00 per <br />annum, payable monthly, for secretarial services and other general <br />office expenses, effective April 1, 1972. <br /> <br />
