~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />d <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76 - ~G <br />BY: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />RESURFACING OF BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD <br />IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize that <br />Butternut Ridge Road for its entire length is in a state of <br />disrepair, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to solicit bids <br />for the resurfacing of Butternut Ridge Road, which program will <br />also include the correction of drainage problems along said <br />~,,.: roadway; <br />~~: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Service Director be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the resurfacing of Butternut <br />Ridge Road, all in accordance with plans and specifications now <br />on file in the office of the City Engineer, and that upon approval <br />by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City <br />of North Olmsted for the said resurfacing project. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to begin the resurfacing project <br />while the weather is amenable, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~ <br />NORA T. <br />APPROVEI <br />RALPH E <br />i~~,C <br />HILL, CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />~ : G~~/ ~ <br />CHRISTMAN, MAYOR <br />ER , I OF CO CIL <br />
