.. ° , <br />-~'- ' r -' <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 76 - ~, <br />BY: ~• <br />ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE MOVING <br />OF BUILDINGS ON EXISTING LOTS WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED WHERE CERTAIN <br />STANDARDS FOR BUILDING SIZE AND BUILDING <br />LOT SIZE ARE NOT MET, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, because the acquisition of land for the construction <br />of Interstate 480 has displaced many existing buildings, and <br />WHEREAS, there is presently a great deal of activity in the <br />City of North Olmsted from the moving of existing buildings to <br />other lots within the City, and <br />WHEREAS, oftentimes the building size does not comply with <br />the minimum standards set out in the Zoning Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted for the district into which said building is to be <br />moved and, consequently, many buildings are being moved onto under- <br />sized lots contrary to the existing Zoning Code Classifications, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to set various <br />standards for the moving of buildings within the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION lA: No permit shall be issued for the moving of any <br />building which is to be located, after having been moved, in the <br />City of North Olmsted, when said building fails to meet the minimum <br />size of livable square footage as set out in Chapter 1153 of the <br />Zoning Code. <br />SECTION 1B: No person who seeks to move a building which <br />does not comply in size as specified in Chapter 1153 shall be <br />permitted to meet the minimum requirements by making an addition <br />onto said building. <br />SECTION 2: No permit shall be issued to any person seeking <br />to move a building wherein the lot size and width specified in <br />Chapter 1157 of the Zoning Code is not met. Nothing contained in <br />Chapter 1233 of the Zoning Code relating to non-conforming use <br />of land shall be deemed to apply to situations wherein a building <br />is to be moved onto said non-conforming land. <br /> <br />
