CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 74 - 17.Z. <br />r, ~„ <br />~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENTAL <br />RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />PROVIDING A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE <br />POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER <br />COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN CUYAHOGA COUNTY. <br />WHEREAS, the Administration deems it advisable to conduct a <br />statistical survey of the operation and per capita service time <br />as well as like data with respect to the Police and Fire Departments <br />of the City of North Olmsted as compared to other communities of a <br />similar size located in Cuyahoga County, and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration deems it advisable to conduct such <br />a survey so that the Administration may better evaluate and plan for <br />the needs of the residents of the City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it in the best interest of the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted to conduct such a statistical <br />study, and <br />WHEREAS, the Governmental Research Institute is an organization <br />that conducts statistical studies for governmental bodies, and said <br />organization has agreed to conduct a statistical survey; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />enter into an agreement with the Governmental Research Institute for <br />the purposes of providing a statistical analysis of the North Olmsted <br />Police and Fire Departments in comparison with other communities in <br />Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 2: That the amount of compensation to be paid to <br />Governmental Research Institute shall not exceed $1,000,00. <br />SECTION 3: That upon completion and presentation of the analysis <br />as specified herein, the Director of Finance is directed to pay an <br />amount not to exceed $1,000.00 to the Governmental Research Institute. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED• c-Z 1~ <br />G' <br />ATTEST: <br />~ '~/ <br />~ ,~~ ~ l,~tCa.l~C~ <br />NORA T.
