c <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ <br />.,: a <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER LINE IN ORING DRIVE, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the assessment of the cost and expense of construct- <br />ing a water line in Oring Drive from Martin Drive westerly approximately <br />400 feet, amounting in the aggregate to $5,535.00, as heretofore reported <br />to this Council by the City Engineer, be and the same is hereby adopted <br />and conf irmed, and that there be and are hereby levied and assessed upon <br />Permanent Parcel Nos. 232-2-37 and 232-2-54 the several amounts reported <br />as aforesaid, which assessments are now on file in the office of the <br />Clerk of this Council and which assessments are not in excess of the <br />special benefits or in excess of any statutory limitation. <br />Section 2: That the assessment against each lot or parcel of land <br />shall be payable in cash within thirty days after the passage of this <br />ordinance or, at the option of the owners, in ten annual or twenty semi- <br />annual installments with interest at the rate of six per centum per annum. <br />All cash payments shall be made to the Director of Finance of this City. <br />All assessments and installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expira- <br />tion of said thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council <br />to the County Auditor as provided by law to be placed by him on the tax <br />duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected. <br />Section 3: That the Clerk of this Council shall certify a copy of <br />this ordinance to the County Auditor within twenty days after its passage. <br />Section 4: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health and safety of said City, and for the further reason that the im- <br />mediate levy of these assessments is necessary to permit them to be cer- <br />tified to the County Auditor to be placed on the 1974 tax duplicate for <br />collection in 1975; wherefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and immediately after its passage and approval by a Mayor. <br />Passed: , 1974 <br />Francis J.
