CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 74 - BY: Mr. Limpert AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 73-72 ENACTED JULY 16, 1973, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council, thereby requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the duties of the Clerk of Council, and WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the position of Clerk of Council as a full time job; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full time position and effective January 1, 1974, the compensation to be paid to the said Clerk of Council shall be between the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00) annually. SECTION 2: That the Director of Finance be and is hereby directed and authorized to pay to the Clerk of Council a sum which shall be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted between Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00) annually, in bi-weekly installments for the services performed by said Clerk of Council, which shall include those services required to be performed by the members of Council, under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to time be determined to be necessary to be performed and which shall be determined by Council, and shall include the neces- sity of preparing a list of names and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment proceedings determined to be neces- sary by Council, and the names and addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements authorized by Council. SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council shall receive as a lon- gevity increment, the sum of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) for each and every year said Clerk of Council has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. This sum is to be paid in a lump sum on anniversary date of employment. SECTION 4: That the City of North Olmsted shall pay for the Clerk of Council the full amount of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual, or with the Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan, but in no event to exceed a total amount of Six Hundred Fifty Dollars and Sixty-four Cents ($650.64). 'SEC'TION' 5: That the full time Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work by Council or the Mayor in emergencies: New Year's Day, Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Presidents' Day, and the employee's birthday. SECTION 6: That the full time Clerk of Council shall be entitled to an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation.
