~~, <br />~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74 - ~,7 <br />BY: <br />~~~ GL,O~.,e,t,~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF CITY OWNED LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH~iRST CORNER <br />OF BARYON AND BRADLEY ROADS AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Recreation Commission of the City of North Olmsted <br />as well as the Administration recommends that the land owned by the <br />City located on the southwest corner of Baron and Bradley Roads, <br />containing approximately 19.6 acres, be improved for recreational <br />purposes by plowing, discing, seeding and fertilizing, which after <br />improved will be used for baseball diamonds, football and other <br />related recreational uses,and <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be to the <br />best interest of the City of North Olmsted that the aforesaid land <br />be improved in the manner herein before stated for recreational <br />purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the improvement of <br />City awned land located on the southwest corner of Barton and <br />Bradley Roads, according with plans and specifications now on file <br />in his office and that upon approval by the Board of Control the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />the City of North Olmsted is in desperate need of improved recreational <br />land which is required for the betterment of the youth of the City of <br />North Olmsted, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately _u/pon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: L~ .~. /~~'f~ <br />ATTEST <br />~~ <br />.~ ~ <br />NORA T.
