<br />... <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 74-7 <br />BY : ~,~,~ <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC <br />SERVICE OF LAW DIRECTOR J. BRUCE <br />KITCHEN, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 1973, Law Director J. Bruce Kitchen completed <br />his term of office; and <br />WHEREAS, J. Bruce Kitchen has acted as Law Director for a period of <br />ten years from January 1, 1964, through December 31, 1973, dedicating his <br />service to the residents of the City of North Olmsted, using his experience, <br />knowledge and education in performing his duties; and <br />WHEREAS, J. Bruce Kitchen has worked with other communities on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted in the multitude of problems presented to a <br />community in its everyday existence; and <br />WHEREAS, J. Bruce Kitchen acted as legal counsel and served in such <br />capacity the Mayor, Council, Administrative Officers, Department Heads, <br />as well as the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of <br />Building Code Appeals, and the North Olmsted Board of Education; and <br />WHEREAS, through the efforts of J. Bruce Kitchen by pursuing a <br />constitutional challenge to the highest court of the State of Ohio, the City <br />of North Olmsted was able to build the fine Library in North Olmsted; and, <br />WHEREAS, during his term of service J. Bruce Kitchen gave his time <br />never shirking a duty even though, oftentimes,the duty was one which required <br />extreme tact and patience, and required the formidable expertise of J. Bruce <br />Kitchen; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the efforts of J. Bruce Kitchen the City of North <br />Olmsted's premium for Workmens Compensation was lowered considerably by <br />instituting a program of constant review of all Workmens Compensation claims; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Members of this Council to express <br />their opinion that the valuable contribution of J. Bruce Kitchen as Law <br />Director be recognized with sincere gratitude by the citizens of North Olmsted, <br />by the Administration and by all Officials of the City of North Olmsted, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the minutes of this Council show the gratitude and <br />appreciation of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, its Administrative <br />Officers, Boards and Commissions of the City and the Board of Education to <br />J. Bruce Kitchen for his ten (10) years of devoted public service as Law <br />Director to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy of this Resolution to J. Bruce Kitchen, after it has been passed <br />by i~his Council and has been duly executed. <br />
