CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-,.? ~~ <br />By ~, .-~_ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY <br />FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE <br />DISASTER RELIEF ACT (PUBLIC LAW 288, 93rd <br />CONGRESS) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That Ralph E. Christman, Mayor of the <br />City of North Olmsted, is hereby authorized to execute <br />for and in behalf of the City of North Olmsted, a public <br />entity established under the laws of the State of Ohio, <br />an application and to file it in the appropriate State <br />office for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal <br />financial assistance under the Disaster Relief Act <br />(Public Law 288, 93rd Congress) or otherwise available <br />from the President's Disaster Relief Fund. <br />SECTION 2: That the City of North Olmsted, a <br />public entity established under the laws of the State of <br />Ohio, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the <br />State and to the Federal Disaster Assistance Administra- <br />tion (FDAA), Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />(HUD) for all matters pertaining to such Federal disaster <br />assistance the assurances and agreements set forth on the <br />reverse side of Form HUD-490 (9-74), a copy of which is <br />attached hereto. <br />SECTION 3: That this resolution is hereby de- <br />clared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary <br />for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary in order to provide for federal financial <br />assistance under the Disaster Relief Act, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~L.C,4,a.,,,, ~ ~ 9 ~/ ~7,(- <br />ATTEST: <br />f /'~ <br />Nora T.
