,~ <br />,,A- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />~j ORDINANCE N0. 75- 219 <br />BY GI . ti~~5~.~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO <br />THE BUS DRIVERS OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNTCIPAL BUS LINE AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 75-61 ENACTED APRIL 1, 1975, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee and the Finance Committee <br />have recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of making an adjustment in the <br />compensation for bus drivers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYANOGA AND STATE OF <br />ONTO: <br />SECTION ]: That effective November 3, 1975 compensation for bus <br />drivers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be as follows: <br />A. During their first year of service bus drivers shall be paid at the <br />rate of $5.34 per hour. <br />After one year of service, all bus drivers shall be paid at the ratE <br />of $5.60 per hour. <br />B. All full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line having <br />completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees of <br />said bus line shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary <br />until they have completed their tenth (10) year of ccontinuous full time <br />service. After completing their tenth (10) year and prior to completion <br />of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service they shall <br />be paid 4% of their base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth <br />(15) year and prior to completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous <br />full time service, they shall be paid 5% of their base annual salary. <br />After their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service and thereafter, <br />they shall be paid 6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be <br />longevity increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Depart- <br />ment of the City of North Olmsted. <br />C. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments as hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given <br />for part-tine service, but such limitation is only for the purpose of com- <br />puting l©ngevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall <br />not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them for <br />part-time service as employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />D. That there shall be allowed for each bus driver the sum of $100.00 per <br />year for the acquisition of uniforms to be worn while operating a bus for <br />the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />E. That upon the appointment of anew driver, he shall be allowed the <br />sum of $110.00 for uniforms and accessories for the first year of such <br />appointment. <br />F. That all bus driving employees of the cdorth Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be re- <br />quired to work on these holidays unless scheduled to work by the General <br />Manager. In the event the employee works on one of the following holidays, <br />the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday <br />he worked.
