~- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED _ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 75 -~~p,~ <br />Page 2. <br />SECTION 3: That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, <br />all full-time employees of the Engineering Department having completed <br />five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees of said <br />department, shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, <br />thereafter until completion of ten (10) years of .full-~tme continuous <br />service, after which such employee shall receive ~% of their base <br />annual salary, thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) <br />year of continuous full-time service, after which said employee shall <br />receive 5% of their base annual salary until eoinpletbn of their <br />twentieth (20th) year of continuous full-time service, and thereafter <br />each year of full-time service thereafter they shall receive ~i% <br />of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 4: That all full-time employees of the Engineering <br />Department,: with the exception of secretaries and clerks, shall <br />receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the <br />Mayor in emergencies: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence <br />Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Presid.ent's Day; and <br />the employee's birthday. <br />SECTION 5: That all full-time employees of the Engineering <br />Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with <br />the following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full-time service <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full-time service <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full-time service. <br />SECTION 6: That: the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy of this ordinance to the Director or Finance in order <br />that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove <br />set forth. <br />SECTION 7: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts <br />of ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the <br />provisions of this ordinance, and especially Ordinance 74-98 enacted <br />July 2, 1974, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />ordinance. <br />SECTION 8: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them <br />into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />PASSES- <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />G%~ .J` <br /> <br />._/. <br />NORA T.
