CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 75 - ~..~9 Page 2. full-time service, and thereafter 6% of his base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of contin- uous full-time service, and during each year of full-time service thereafter he shall receive 7% of his base annual salary as longe- vity increments. SECTION 5: That all full-time employees of the Finance Depart- ment shall receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Director of Finance in emergencies, and shall receive the regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; the employee's birthday; and floating holiday. SECTION 6: That all full-time employees of the Finance Depart- ment shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full-time service Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full-time service Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full-time service. SECTION 7: That the Assistant Director of Finance is hereby authorised to sign checks on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, but only in the event the Director of Finance is absent from the City or on vacation. SECTION 8: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a copy of this ordinance to the Director of Finance immedi- ately upon its passage. SECTION 9: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinance, are hereby repealed, especially Ordinance No. 74-90, enacted June 18, 1974, with the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 10: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
