<br />AUGUST 15, 1961 -PAGE 3 <br />Ordinance No. 61156 was introduced by Mr. Christman, An ordinance amending Section <br />1 of Ordinance 61.-110 enacted May 16, 1961, amending subsection a and subsection <br />b of section 3 of Ordinance 3159 enacted November 15, 1960, entitled "An ordinance <br />establishing rates to be charged for the services of the Municipal Sanitary Sewerage <br />System Utility in the City of North Olmsted and repealing Ordinance 2867, enacted <br />June 25, 1959, and declaring an emergency". The affirmative vote on said motion <br />was as follows: Christman! Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, OtNeill, Porter. It <br />was moved by Mr. Christman, seconded by Mr, Limpert, that the statutory rule be <br />suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and <br />put on its passage. An ordinance authorizing and <br />directing the cancellation of special assessments on permanent parcel No. 237~:~ 3-l~3 <br />Mac Beth Avenue, being an assessment for the preparation of detailed plans, <br />specifications for a sewerage sy~em for the City of North Olmsted and declaring an <br />emergency. It was moved by Mr. Mangani, seconded by Mrs, Nicholas, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and <br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as <br />follows: Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O~Neill, Porter. Thereupon the <br />ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the <br />affirmative vote t~reon was as follows: Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, <br />O~Neill, Porter, <br />_;. <br />Mr. Christman moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that Council appuove the basic method <br />of calculation as forewa~ded to us by Steve Kuhner of Floyd Browne and Associates <br />on July 7, 1961, and that if this basic method of calculation is acceptaHe to this <br />Council and Parkview, that the Solicitors and Engineers of both Cities meet to <br />work out terms of a contract, The method i.s mainly this : Operation and maintenance <br />costs pro-rated as to the actual number of connections; debt service pro-rated on <br />actual saturated populations; X27,600. portion of trunk paid by Parkview; $8,963. <br />cost of Esther Ave, sewer paid by Parkview; Meer installed to provide check in <br />amount of infiltration with penalties provided for over fixed amounts, «Yeas" <br />Christman Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O~Neill, Porter, <br />Mr. Christman moved, seconded by Mrs. Nicholas, that a contractor installing <br />house connections for the sanitary sewer be limited to 3 street openi s t onetion fey <br />time under the X1,000,00 bond; and to waive the deposit required for/~t~ <br />opening permit for installation of house connections( for the <br />where there are existing sanitary sewers on Grace, EI.~, Lucille, Mastick and street <br />Columzbia, ~-Yeas'~ Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O~Neill, Porter. <br />Ms. Mangani moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that the Solicitor be directed to <br />prepare legislation authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids for the <br />furnishing of 200 tons of Bulk Commercial Salt, and 1,000 yards of Cinders, "Yeas« <br />Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, OtNeill, Porter. <br />Mr. Christmaan moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that the absence of Mr. Caster and <br />Mr. MacDonald be excused.
