Nilson, Safety Director; William Gsr].ach, Audit; <br />and Lmuise Hall, C]~erk. <br />Absent: Ralph Chriataean <br />The minutes of the regular seating of You. ~5, 1960 and the special nesting of <br />Nov. 29, 1960 :rare approved as corrected. <br />The Mayor read a proclsnation Eros the Seeretery of State procl~aining the <br />populativct of North Olasted to be 16,290 as of the ]960 Census. <br />The Mayor stated that a renewal s~-plieation to the State Dept. of Health is <br />~aeeessary st this tine and tamed this over to the Berries Director for completion. <br />The Ma~ror requested authority of. Council to ez+eeute a contract beta:eert the <br />General Health Diatr3.ct of C:grahoga County, and the City Health District of <br />Forth O7asated, t3hio, for the year 1961. <br />The Mayor read a letter addressed to Civil Service Ccrsdsaion from Mr. Oriatt <br />relative to Swage Treatment Plant Operator licensed by the State of Ohio. <br />The Mayor reported of a nuisance report on ~t Rd. end stated that Itr. Chriattt :°. <br />is to detertniae the necessary legal procedure. <br />The l+hpror proclaimed the Meek of December 9th through Dee®oaber 15th, 1960 as <br />Bill of Rights t~aek. <br />Tate Mayer read a caees~iaatioct t'rox the JWm ~tuveen & Co. regarding =1,525s000 <br />City of North 07aasted, Ohio First Iiortgage Se:rerage System Revenue Bonds. <br />The Mayor read a ecrosam€ticatioa from the lererican Public Works Association <br />relative to representation in the Association and turned the letter and application <br />over to co~aittes. <br />The l+ia~or advised that hs had received a letter and brochure from the $a~i.onal <br />Plattrting Ceea^~issi~ict on NBeaches and otJter Aquatic ActivitiesM artd that it :vas <br />availabSe for all to read. <br />Tr. M. 9arady presented to Council plans for the Michael Tars~r ~bcliviaion and <br />these were turned over to the Plats Coesdttee and the B~ineer. <br />Mr. A.R. Lsnga, 211.188 Maple Ridge appeared before C~wmcil concerning the sewer <br />tax on the crater bill. Mr. Laaga reels that the serer taz based cat the srrount <br />of Hater c~sts+ted is too high because his faai]~r uses ~tsly 7000 cubic <br />feet fora 3 north period. Cortum<il feels that inhere auoy be siethi~ wrong <br />with the rater and the Utilities Ccmaaittse is to cheek into this natter. <br />Mr. Wiese, 333 Lorain Rd., asked what the taus wi11 be d <br />for business. The Mcgtor is to check with the County Auditor and see i.f an <br />appro~dnate figure can be given to Mr. Wiese. <br />Resolttticat Ho. 3175 was introduced by Mr. Mansani. A resolut3.oa of aytapatky to <br />the family of Charlotte L. Porter, the mother of George Porter III, who passed <br />amayr November 12, 1960. It was moped by Mr. Mangani, ascended by Mrs. Nicholas, <br />that thsstatutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read imMediately ttte <br />second a:d third tines and put act its passage.
