<br />Present were Paul J, Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council;
<br />Henry Caster, Ralph Christman, Dewey Lampert, A.L• MangancI., Francis J. 01Nei11,
<br />Lillian Nicholas, George Porter.
<br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; Names T. Wilson, Safety
<br />Director; C•J. Oviatt, Solicitor; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; William Gerlach,
<br />Auditor; and Louise Hall, Clerk.
<br />The minutes of the regular meeting of the Council Oct, ;.~, 1960 xere approved
<br />as written.
<br />The Clerk read a ecm~.uaicati~n to Mr. Kadylak, Chairman of the Planning Commission,
<br />from F. J. Abendroth of the Regional Planning Commission regarding the reconmssnded
<br />]..and use and street plan Brookpark Road •- Lorain Street ~ Columbia R©ad Area,
<br />The Clerk also read a communication from Mr. Oviatt regarding information required
<br />on suggestions and recommendations made by the different cea•xitt~s~of Cousmcil.
<br />The Engineer returned the petition for aieLaxalk on the east side of Dover Rd•
<br />from Lorain Rd, to and including l~717 Dc~irrr Rd. becatase the petition is inadequate.
<br />The Clerk xas instructed to return the petition to the circula.ter.
<br />Mr. Dana Baxter of Hayden,Miller and Co. introduced representatives of The John
<br />Nuveen & Co., Inc., imeatxent hankerer who presented to the Mayor and Council
<br />their proposal for pnrchasang our mortgage revenue bonds in the amount of
<br />~1s5~5s~~•
<br />Mr. Baxter stated that this xas a good proposal and receasAended that the
<br />City accept this offer.
<br />After discussion Mr• Lampert moved, seconded by Mr. faster, that a Five minute
<br />recess be dsc].ared• "Yeats" Caster, Christman, Lampert, Mangani, 0' eill, Bi.cholas,
<br />Porter.
<br />Resolution No• 3125 was introduced by Mr• Mangani• A resolution to provide for
<br />the sale of ~1~525,000 first mortgage sewerage system revenue bonds and the
<br />award thereof. It was moved by Mr• Mangana., sea®nded by Mr, Porter, that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended anti the resolution be read in~ediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion xas
<br />as follows Caster, Christman, Lampert, Mangani., Nicholas, O~ATeill, Porter.
<br />Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times and put upon its
<br />passage amid the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster, Christman,
<br />Lampert, Mangani, Nicholas, OtNeill, Porter.
<br />Mr. Manga:ai read a communication from J• P. Kadylak, Chairman of the Planning
<br />Com~na.ssion, regarding a motion made and adopted by that body that the Zoning
<br />Map of the City of North Olmsted be amended and that the Engineer proceed
<br />iunnediately
<br />Ordinance No. 3126 was introduced by Mr. Christman. An ordinance snt~riaing
<br />and directing the cancellation of special assesamenta on permanent parcel No.
<br />231-r29~-3 Gessner Rd.! being an assessment for the preparation of detaa.led plans
<br />and specifications for a sewerage system for the City of North Olmsted, and, special
<br />assessments on Gessner Rd•, xater main in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring
<br />an emergency, It xis moved by Mr, Christian, seconded by Mr. OsNeill, that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read i~rrediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion xis
<br />as follows: Caster, Christman, Lampert, Mangani, Nichol.as~ OsNeill, Porter.
<br />Thereupon the ne~r~ance xis read the second and third times and put upon its
<br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as followss Caster, Chriatmaxi,
<br />Lampert, Mangani, Nicholas, OsNeill, Porter.
