<br />MINUTES OF .THE MEET.~NG OF THE COUNCIL <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />JUNE 21~ 1960 - 8:03 P.M. <br />Present were Bruce MacDonald President of Council; Henry Casters Ralph Christman <br />Dewey Limpert~ A. L. Mangani~ Lillian Nichalas~ Francis J. OtNeill~ George H. <br />Porter. <br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes <br />Director; C. J. Oviatt~ Solicitor; <br />Auditor; and Louise Hall, Clerk. <br />Service Directory James T. Wilson, Safety <br />Alex Kanareff, Engineer; William Gerlach <br /> <br />Absent: Paul J. Gareau~ Mayor. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of the Council June ?~ 1960 and the adjourned <br />meeting of June 71a., 1960 were approved as written. <br />The Service Director reported that the Board of Control awarded the following <br />contracts Street resurfacing - Hannan & Nouzak; small economy car .» Beebe & <br />Elliott; z ton pick-up truck and 2~ ton dump truck - International« <br />The Service Director reported that the Engineerts contract terminates July 7th. <br />This matter was turned over to the Legislative Committee for consideration. <br />The Service Director advised of problems sccurred in obtaining ~~~~ of ways <br />in the sewer plan and stated that the purchase of a lot on Sumirbrland is necessary. <br />~s. Christman, Sewer Committees stated that the Committee believes this is the <br />wisest move. <br />The Safety Director, on the behalf of the Scouts of North Olmsted thanked a71 <br />officials who participated in making All 3ebnts Day a success. <br />The Engin@er read a letter addressed to Council pertaining to the petition for <br />paving of Decker Rd. As there were not sufficient signatures as of ~~Iarer l~ 1960 <br />the petition is to be returned to the circulator. <br />The Engineer presented plans for Engoglia Subdivision Yrhich have been approved <br />by the Planning Commission. The plans were turned over to the Plats Committee <br />for their consideration. <br />The Engineer reported that the contracter has requested approval to pave 1000 ft. <br />of Revere Drive. This matter was turned over to the Street Committer for further <br />study. <br />The Engineer presented the revised Zoning Map to Council. <br />The Clerk read a communication from G. J. Celebrezze, Assistant Attorney General <br />to P. Schwimmer, Assistant Attorney General pertaining to North Olmsted Public <br />Employees Retirement System. <br />Mr. Mangani, Plats Committee, reported on the Combined meeting of ~e Plats <br />Committee and Streets Sewers and Sidewalks Committee pertaining to 3hr~rood <br />Estates Subdivision, Lorain Road rezoning, Buckeye Enterprises and Package <br />treatment plant legislation. <br />l~s. OtNeill~ Finance ~ Budget Committees reported on their meeting of June 1~th <br />regarding Police and Fire Triages and hours. The Committee s~gges+ts that as of <br />tTanuart 1: 1961 ar_ additional 5 Po13.cemen and 5 Firemen be hired. <br />Air. OtNeill~ Transportatior: Committee, reported on the rates for the Buses. <br />Mrs. Nicholas, Municipal Properties Committee, requested that a s~.zrvey be made <br />of the Henry property so that the School Board can take title to their portioxr <br />and. reimburse the city. <br />
