<br />Mr. Porter moved, seconded by Mr. Caster, that the Council support the Transportation
<br />Committee by a vote of confidence on the increased bus rates. "Yeas" Caster,
<br />Christman, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O'Neill, Porter.
<br />NIr, Caster reported that the Utilities Committee is checking the need of lights on
<br />Parklane, additional lights on Decker and Charles Roads.

<br />Mr. Christman reported the McKenzie Park development and recommended that the bond
<br />be released on this development retaining :600.00 far inspection fees and engineering.
<br />NIr. Limpert stated that the Legislative Committee recommends passage of the ordinances
<br />~ and. resolutions to be read. The committee also recommended that the Solicitor draw
<br />up an ordinance for the licensing of persons for hire engaging in forestry and tree
<br />surgery, The committee also recommends proposals be submitted for their consideration
<br />for aodefication of ordinances.

<br />Mr, rlangani reported that the Special Comrn.~ttee on Appointments had beer_ requested
<br />to give trieir reason for disapproval of the two men disapproved b5- Council on the
<br />Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and tr~~ the reason is that these
<br />men were not qualified.
<br />Mr. Griffitl-is submitted a supplement to his qualifications which were referred to
<br />the Special Corr~rrittee on Appointments for further corrsideratior~.
<br />Dick Linpert, a City Fireman, presented to the Mayor, Safety Director and Council
<br />members honorary membersriip cards to Loca)_;~1267, International Association of
<br />i ire Fighters.
<br />A group of residents from Lansing Drive complained of the poor workmanship and the
<br />safety hazard of the ditches being worked on in relation to the West Park Estates
<br />development and requested that some action be taken in triis matter.
<br />NIr. O~1V'eill moved, seconded by Mrs, Iicholas, that Mr. Pate of Westpark Builders
<br />be ordered to cease and dissist work immediately on ditches on Lansing Drive and that
<br />the Er.~ineer and Street Committee investigate workmanship and safety factors and
<br />deterrr_ine the necessary bond to restore properties ss nearly as possible to the

<br />Resolution No. 2961, declaring it necessary to improve Canterbury Road from.
<br />Lorain Road northerly to the northerly city limits, by constructing therein a five
<br />foot concrete public sidewalk on. both sides thereof, was given its third and
<br />final reading. It was moved by Mr. Christman., seconded by rs, Porter, the
