<br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO - 5:05 P.M.
<br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Ralph A. Hazelton, President of Council,
<br />J. Hinkel, E. Hixson, ~~'. Kramer, Mrs. Lynch, Bruce MacDonald, F. O'Neill,
<br />J. Wilson, Patrick A. Gareau, Safety Director and Lloyd E. Barnes, Service
<br />Director.
<br />Also present were C. J. Oviatt, Solicitor; E. M. Christman, Clerk; and
<br />Alice Dobbins, Treasurer.
<br />Ordinance No. 2651 was introduced by Mr. MacDonald. An ordinance designating
<br />the Director of Public Service as the official of the City of North Olmsted,
<br />- authorized to execute any and all contracts and documents as may be required
<br />in the construction of the City of North Olmsted Sewage Treatment Plant
<br />improvement, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. MacDonald,
<br />seconded by Mr. Hixson, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance
<br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, ~lilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the
<br />second and third tunes and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote
<br />thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Nei3.1,
<br />Wilson.
<br />Ordinance No. 2652 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance authorizing
<br />and directing the Mayor and Director of Public Service, to make application
<br />for a Federal Construction Grant, under the provisions of Section 33 U.S.C.
<br />466 and following, which grant to be applied to the cost of construction of
<br />the Sewage Treatment Plant improvement of the City of North Olmsted, and
<br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr. Hixson,
<br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately
<br />the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote
<br />on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, '[lynch, MacDonald,
<br />O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third
<br />times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote tY~ereon was as
<br />follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />It eras moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mr. Hixson, the A~ be authorized
<br />to purchase and have printed 6,000 post cards to notify the residents of
<br />North Olmsted of their tax assessment. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
<br />It was moved by Mr. s^ilson, seconded by Mr. Hinkel, that the Mayor invite
<br />Westlake, West View, Olmsted Township, and Olmsted Falls to participate
<br />in our Sewerage Disposal Plant. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson.
