<br />MIANTES OF AN ADJOURNED MCETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF N08TH OLMSTED, OHIO
<br />Present were Dr. C. B. Lewis, Mayor; 8. L. Decker, President of Council;
<br />L. H. Baker, Harry M. Crider, Wm. H. Kramer, Bruce W. MacDonald, Ralph G.
<br />Neubauer, George Porter III, G. H. Schwenk.
<br />Also present were F. G. Kitson, Solicitor; James F. notava, Safety-Service
<br />Direator; E. M. Christman, Clerk. Mr. Everett Dean, Engineer, was absent.
<br />Ordinance No. 2580 was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An ordinance authorizing
<br />the Safety-Service Director to execute a contract with the City of Fairview
<br />Park, Ohio, modifying the contract with that City that expires on December 31,
<br />1961 for bus service by eliminating certain contracted scheduled bus runs, and
<br />to amend ordinance No. 2355, passed August 21, 1956. It was moved by Mr.
<br />Neubauer, seconded b~ Mr. Baker, that the statutory rule be suspended and the
<br />ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage.
<br />The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer,
<br />MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk. Thereupon the ordinance was read the
<br />second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote
<br />thereon was as follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter,
<br />Schwenk.
<br />A ccaamunieation was read from J. L. 3ythoff of 65(Y~' Charles Avenue, in which
<br />he complained about insufficient fill on the lawn side of sidewalks, that some
<br />of the existing sidewalks were tilted 20-30 degrees, also that his driveway
<br />apron requires some study as the sewer drain is so located as to make a
<br />difficult problem in supplying adequate fill to support the sidewalk.
<br />The matter of releasing the bond of Franklin Yehlik was discussed. Inasmuch
<br />as the Engineer was unable to attend, the Clerk was instructed to get a list
<br />of what must be done so Mr. Yehlik can finish the Sob.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk, seconded by Mr. Porter, granting the North
<br />Olmsted Citizens Committee permission to rent the Community Building, October
<br />30th, at local organization rates. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald,
<br />Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk.
<br />A cc~nunication was read from Mr. Dan Romp of the "Lewis for Mayor" Ccmmmittee
<br />requesting permission to put up four (4) 3 x 4 signs. It was moved by Mr.
<br />Baker, seconded by Mr. Crider, that permission be granted to erect the signs.
<br />"Yeas„ Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk.
<br />Resolution No. 2581 was introduced by Mr. Crider. A resolution to pay moral
<br />obligation. It was moved by Mr. Crider, seconded by Mr. Schwenk, that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read immediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows: Baker, Crider, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk.
<br />Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times and put upon
<br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Baker, Crider,
<br />Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Porter, Schwenk.
<br />Meeting adjourned to the ca11 of the Clerk.
