APRIL 17, 1962 - PAGE 5 <br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its passage <br />and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Gaster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, <br />Mangani, Nicholas, 0'Neill, <br />Mre Mangani moved, seconded by Mr, 0'Neill, that the Law Director be directed to <br />prepare legislation authorizing the Service Directar to advertise for bids for the <br />furnishing of approximately 300 tons of Asphaltic 1'ype T-35 for street maintenance <br />and repair during the 1962 seasono "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Leonard , Limpert, <br />Mangani, Nicholas, 0'Neilla <br />The Service Director's request for authority to aduertise for bids for a Back Hoe, <br />with front-end loader was turned over to the Financ:e Committee. <br />Mr. Caster moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that the Law Director be directed to <br />prepare legislation for the installation of sidewalks - both sides of Fleharty Road, <br />from Lorain Road south to Brookpark Road with the stipulation that the property owners <br />may install their own walks if done within 30 days„ "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Leonard, <br />Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, 0'Neill. <br />reported that plans and specif'ications are on file for <br />The Servi ce Di rector/?&x?5\??x5aaoccvxk(K}iczjcacpskeEocxfceKxgktkg94gUiSx6M South Barton, North <br />Barton and Porter Roadsxac3cturned over to the LegRSlative Committee. <br />and w ere <br />The Service Director submitted sewer plans for Eleanor-, Evelyn and a portion of <br />Gessner to the Public Development and Service Committee for review. <br />Mr. Leonard stated that he felt that it is unnecessary for Citizens to be <br />represented by an attorney when they have matters to bring before Council as Council <br />is willing to listen to the Citizens and thereby saving them the expense of an <br />attorney's fee. <br />Mr. MacDonald advised that the entire Counc:il agrees with Mr. Leonard and also advcsed <br />Citizens to see their individual Councilman or Councilman-at-large first so that <br />matters can be expedited and also requesteci that matters of service be taken direc.t <br />to the Department rather than Counc:il. <br />Mr.Christman advised thai: he has received several complaints about Steven's Garage <br />on W. 231st. St. <br />The Mayor advised that he wouldconfer with the Law Director to determine what act:an <br />can be taken regarding these complaints. <br />Mr. Caster requested the Law Director to clheck the legality of issuing a Buildinea <br />Permit for the Zayre Department Store as their plans are to use the Parking Lot as <br />a retention basin for storm water. <br />The meeting adjourned to the cail of the Clerk at 9:59 P.M. <br />-- <br />Louise Hall, Clerk of Council Bruce MacDonald, President of Council
