MARCH lg, 1963 - PAGE 2 <br />Mr. Christman, Chairman of the Public Development and Service Committee, advised <br />that the Committee recommends iegislation be: approved for the following: <br />1. Authorize the advertising far a generatar for the l.ift Station <br />2. Acceptance of improvements plans for the Waiter-Maple <br />Subdivision vaith changes as rec.ommended by the Committee. <br />3. Fixing the sewer rate for the Park Ridge Subdivision <br />the same as the Sherwood Sevier rate. <br />4. Acceptance of the improvemerit plans for Tree Lane <br />Subdivision No. 2 with chanqes as recommended by the Committee. <br />5. Acceptance of improvement p1ans for the Rose Tree Subdivision <br />No. 2 with changes as reGamrnended by the Committee, <br />Mr. Christman reported on the meeting with 13ay Village and Westlake regarding <br />storm problems and advised that the Engineer and Mr. Christman would represent Narth <br />Olmsted on a committee with representatives from thethree communities to work <br />on solving drainage problems in the area. <br />Mr. Christmdn advised that his Committee recommends installation of sidewalks on <br />the foliowing streets: South side of Lora+n from Charles Rd. to Ghestnut School.and <br />Bentley Drive in the Tree Lane Subdivision to Westview Dr.; east side of Columbia <br />Rd, from Maple Ridge to Gessner; a walk from Fitch Rd. to Revere Dr. for school <br />children to obtain access to the School Grounds. (The Engineer is to check <br />into this to see if this sidewalk could be constructed on private property.) <br />Mr. Christman advised that the Public Development and Service Committee wouid meet <br />with the School Board and representatives of Stiilson and Associates to discuss the <br />route of the Outer Belt South Freeway. Mr. Mangani maved, seconded by Mr. 0'Neill, that the preliminary plat for Libby- <br />Lee be approved with changes as recommended by the City Planning Committee. "Yeas" <br />Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, 0'Neill, Van Zandt. <br />Mr. Mangani advised that he had received re:quests to clean and paint the Finance <br />Director's office and the ladies restroom and requested the Service Director to take <br />care of this. <br />Mr. Caster reported on the Industrial Development Committee meeting and read a <br />copy of a resolution of intent for the plat:ting of the Industrial Area which is <br />under consideration. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman of Safety Committee, requested the Legislative Committee <br />to review the following: <br />1. Snow removal on sidewalks. <br />2. Off street parking especially on div+ded streets and <br />parking on the hydrant side. <br />3. Abendoned cars during a storm. <br />4. Consider giving authority to the Dog Warden ta issue <br />citations as he is having difficulty controlling running pets. <br />5. Increasing penalties for driving while intoxicated. <br />Mr. Limpert advised that the Committee feels other safety precautions should be <br />taken rather than installing a`traffic light at Lorain and Stearns and that the <br />Safety Director is checking into this. <br />The Clerk read the following communications: <br />l.
