MINUTES OF THE MEETIPdG OF THE COUNCIL <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />September 15, 1964 <br />8: 2 3 P., M. <br />Present: Mayor Ralph Christman; PresiLdent of Council, Francis J. 0'Neill; <br />Jack Foltz; Virginia Hodgins; James LE:onard; Dewey Limpert; Alex Mangani; <br />John West, <br />Also present: J. Bruce Kitchen, Director of Law; W. L. Gerlach, Director of <br />Finance; Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; <br />Leslie Macs, Chairman, Planning Commi.asion; Margare.t West, Clerk of Council. <br />Absent: Henry Caster. <br />Minutes of the meeti_ng of September l., 1964 were approved as i-ead, <br />Mayor Christiroan reported the Planning Commission is going to recommend that a <br />resolution be directed to the State Highway Department in regard to straighten- <br />ing Columbia Road. The Planning Commission would like to ask that Council at <br />their next meeting be prepared to form a resolution around this request. <br />Safety Service Director Limpert repori:ed that work has been started on Butter- <br />nut Ridge Road. Ditches and 2-foot bei-m are being put in, <br />Engineer Labas reported that water line plans, specifications and estimate nf <br />cost are on file for Barton, Bradley, Mill, Broxbourne and Canterbury, He <br />? asked that Council ask that a Resolution of Necessity be drawn and the matter <br />was referred to the Public Devebpment Committee. <br />Mr. Labas also reported that Bretton I2idge #1 and #2 improvement plans have <br />been approved. <br />He requests that plans for the Great PJorthern water main be put in commi.ttee.. <br />Mr, Limpert, Chairman of the Transpori;ation Committee, reported that a meeting <br />held September 9, his committee met with the Finance Committee for a discussion <br />of the possibility ofan increase in aalary for the bus mechanics. It was <br />decided to check the caage scale in similar occupations for comparison. <br />They also discussed the possibility for future expansion of the bus garage. <br />Figures were furnished the Finance Committee, and their chairman will repor°t <br />on the recommendation. <br />Mr. West, Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported they met on September 9th. <br />They recommend that a$50 change fund be established for the Finance Directar, <br />and will ask for legislation to be drawn. <br />They also will ask for legislation authorizing the Safety-Service Direetor t.o <br />advertise for bids far a front-end lo+ader to be used in the sanitary land fill <br />area. <br />Mr. West also reported the Finance Committee recommends that legislation be <br />drawn up on the additional appropriation recommended by the Mayor for 1964, <br />and that an ordinance be drawn transferring monies from one account to anothet-. <br />. .. ? .y+m?e?.-s.?.?;? .. , .., . . . . .. „ . ,??-. ?e. ,.,?,a;n.?????tWr?`?R??:???°..ty-».• , .. . . , `
