<br />Mrs, Hodgins submitted to Mr. Kitchen a list of residentral streets on wh;.,ch
<br />the Safety Committ.ee wishes to reduce the speed limit to 25 miles p?? ??our,
<br />wa.th a request that a resolution be drawn requesting the State of Ohic to establish
<br />ihat 1i.mit on the 1is*ed streets.
<br />Mrs. Hadgins also re.quested that legislation be prepared to authorize the Safety-
<br />S?rvice Director ±o advertise for bids for a small rescue truck, to cost approxi--
<br />mately $5,000 fcrr tri?ck; and body.
<br />Mr. West requested the Legislative Conimittee to consider an anti-jaywalking
<br />crdinancE, to curb the practise of walking in the streets where there are sidewalks.
<br />Mr. West alsa asked the Law Director to draw an ordinance aut.horizing the City
<br />to giek up the exe.ess costs of installation of sidewalks for 1963, and referred
<br />Mr. Kitchen to the Finance Director for details.
<br />Mr. West asked the Law 33irector to revise the ordinance authorizing the Crty
<br />to pay hospit.alization and medical care for police and firemen, so that it will
<br />e.over all of the cost,instead of $7, 25 which is present.ly specif ied in t h?

<br />Ift, Mangani moved that the proposals outlined by the Mayor with regard La
<br />the Zehman, Sherman, Wolf proposed subdivision be accepted by Council, and the.
<br />Mayor be given authorrty to proeeed with the negotiations with the developer.
