DEcember l; 1)64 - Page 3 <br />comparison to neighboring camm?nztieso <br />The Committee agreed that starting in 1.965 pay adjustments wi11 be considered <br />only in July when the budget i.v being made up for the succeeding yeare unless <br />there are highly unusuaY circumstances w?rranting consideration af salary adjust- <br />ments at an earlier date. <br />The Finance Committee recommends apprmval f3r instalbation offaur radio telephones <br />in Service Department vehicles on atria1 basis; they recdmmend the purehase of <br />a$2,100 autmmobile for the Ser??ce Director; they recommend the appointment of <br />a secretary for the Board of BuiIdrng Code Agpeals9 at a salary of $20 a meeting; <br />and they have asked th? Finance Director to determine the amaunt of money to be <br />available at tfie end of the year t?:; transfer to the Permanent Improvement Fund. <br />The Finance Gommittee nas asked ttie Serv?ce Director to ascertain the following; <br />the cost to the City if all City employees were to receive the present hospitaliza- <br />tion and the City paid the $7>50 per month; the cost to the City if all employees <br />were covered by an improved ho,spitalization plan costing $11,75 per month; the <br />cost to the City of giving the Service employees the recommended incre.ases, <br />the cost of installing radio telephones in seven cars and two bave phones in the <br />office; the cost of giving thE Building Inspectors a raise; and the cost to the <br />City of giving the B?? ?e?,?'hanl.c., a raise as recommended, <br />Mr. Caster reported the Pub1i,_': Service and Deveiopment Committee mf which he is <br />the head did not have a meeting, but he sat in en the Finance and Safety meeting <br />on Friday, and in view of the ant?2i.pated tax monies to be avaflable for the <br />balance of the year, he has asked fo: legislaticn tc be prepared authorizing <br />the Safety Director to advertise f?r storm sewer materiala namely pipe for the <br />Burns-Porter-IDecker area, if the me:.mey is availabIe at the end of the yearo <br />Engineer Richard Labas recommen1s that the City ??????er the final acceptance and <br />dedication of North Park SubdiTs;_sion Noo Z9 provided an acceptable grading plan <br />is furnishedo He fee.ls we san ask for preparation of legaslation under New Business, <br />Mr. Mangani, Ghairman of the City Planrcing Committee, repoz°ted they met on <br />November 24th to discuss the Rolling Ac.res Subdivisione A revised plat has <br />been approved by the PYanning Commissian, checYced by the City Engineer and <br />approved by the Committee. They are deeding to the City 7.9 acres in total acreage <br />under Cluster 2oning, this acreage being weYl lc?cated in three different areas <br />to provide open space for recreation, The Commitfee recommends that Council <br />apprmve the preliminary plat, <br />The Committee also met witfi Lake City Land, on a propasal for an apartment develop- <br />ment along Golucnbia between Mastick and Broo1c Park, There were several def iciencies <br />in that there were na access roads other than throungh Saks and Goldberg property <br />to the north and t'hrough property owned by Sgarlcy DiBenedetto to the south. It <br />was also sugges°ted to t.he developers t.hat sa.nce I-80 is coming thrmugh a portion of <br />this property, they work; with the State Highway Department, °They have agreed to <br />all of this and wilY appear again bef,?,re the Planni.ng C'mmmzssion, since City <br />Planning wovsld not apgrove it- at. th Ls t ime, <br />y Mr. Mangani announc?ed that on 7hursday, December 3r3 at 7e30 there will be another <br />meeting on Hf-Rs`.se with anycne?, intere??ed, <br />Mr. Caster announced a meeting of the Public Service and Development Committee <br />will be held at 8v00 an Tuesday9 December 3tth.
