. <br />h ` <br />May 4, 1966 - Page 2 <br />during 1965 and 1966. <br />Mr. Foltz reported that each member of his committee has been furnished with a <br />copy of job descriptions in the City, which they are reviewing for a future dis-- <br />cussion with reference to changes in job titles, etc. <br />Mr. West, Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported that they had not met, but <br />he and the Mayor had met with the Civil Service Commission, and he was very much <br />impressed with their handling of items before them, but that it is clear that <br />the Administration and the Councii will have to agree as to the exact organiza- <br />tion of the City, and spell out exactly what the Charter says. The Legisiati;%e <br />Committee and the Mayor- are proceeding on this. <br />Mr. Caster reported far Chairman Mangani of the Design and Platting Committee, <br />fihat they had held a mee#ing and discussed Sandy Ridge Subdivision No. 4. Legis- <br />lation will be requested under new business. <br />Mr. Jack Phillips, 27785 5outhern Avenue, read a letter to Councii objecting to <br />the notice of storm sewer assessment which he had received. <br />Mrs. Carol Lamb, 23291 Alexander Road, appeared with regard to a petition which <br />she had submitted to the Clerk, having to do with filth and litter, and enforce- <br />ment of our law Sec. 517.07. <br />Mr, Calvin Souther•n, 27711 Southern Avenue, also presented his objections to the <br />proposed assessments for improvements on Southern Avenue. <br />Mr. Francis Stanton, 27611 Southern Avenue, objected to the improvements being <br />proposed for Southern, and the assessments which would result. <br />Mr. Alfred Calvert, 27843 Southern Avenue, objected to the proposed improvements <br />and assessments, as well as about the current sewer construcfiion operation. <br />Mr. Robert Bergan, 27583 Southern Avenue, added his objections to the notice he <br />had received as to proposed improvements and assessment. <br />Mr. Caster advised the residents of Southern Avenue that his committee would <br />meet with them next Tuesday, May IOth at 8:00 P.M., in the smaller meeting room <br />off the Council Chamber for a further discussion of the improvements proposed. <br />Mr. West reminded those who had not filed a written objection with the Clerk to <br />do so withln the required two-week period. <br />Mrs. Lamb asked how action on her complaint could be taken, and it was suggested <br />that she file a complaint with the police who would take the action necessary to <br />enforce the fine provicted in the ordinance. Atter some discussion, it was agreed <br />to refer to the Law Director for a ruling as to whether or not a signed complaint <br />would be necessary. <br />
