A Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Law to settle a law suit entitled "State of Ohio, ex. rel. Steve <br />Lehnert vs. City of North Olmsted, et al" in the Eighth District Court of Appeals <br />for Cuyahoga County for the sum of $1,000.00, plus court costs, and declaring an <br />emergency. Affirmative vote was Caster, Eian, Foltz, <br />Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani, West. <br />Mr. West requested that legislation be drawn authorizing the City to contribufie <br />$200 for fireworks display on the Fourth of July. <br />Mr. West requested that legislation be drawn authorizing the Safety-Service Director <br />to advertise for bids for one new one-ton truck for the Sewage Treatment Plant for <br />not more than $2,500. <br />Mr. West requested that legislation be drawn to authorize the Mayor to advertise <br />for bids for a combined or package insurance policy for the City. <br />Mr. West requested that legislation be drawn increasing the neai bus drivers' rate <br />from $2.35 per hour to $2.50 per hour. This was overlooked last year when the <br />bus pay ordinance was made up. <br />Mr. Mangani moved that the Sandy Ridqe #3 subdivision preliminary plat be approved <br />with the recommendation to the developers that they remove the strips or blocks <br />on either side of the two street openings.
