., <br />March i, 1966 - Page 7 <br />C-0 The Pianning Committee's report was as foilows: "After considerabie discussion, <br />Committee recommends to Council that no changes be made. We feei that the presen* <br />minimum widths at the building Iine of 60 ft., 70 ft and 80 ft for Classes C, <br />B and A Residential Districts, respectiveiy, together, with minimum area requi1:e- <br />ments are sufficient control for minimum {ot slxe. However, it is st(li wFthirs <br />fihe powers granted to the Plsnning Commission, to request of developers, changes in <br />1ot front or rear if they feel the widths to be unsatisfactory for compiiance w`,'*h <br />setbacks, driveways and other requiremenfis of the Zoning Code." Item 4 ot the <br />Committee report referred to sidewalks in new devefopments, and reads as fop?ows: <br />"In order to achieve continuity ot improvements such as sidewa9ks, paving, etco ?n <br />new deveiopments, the Commifitee recomments that Section 10, Completion or Repa'ir <br />Improvements, of Ordinance 64-95 (Platting Ord+nance) be amended to read as ta`.;ow=: <br />The developer shall complete the construction of ail improvements within two ?l; <br />years from the date of ap,provaf by Council of the Vmprovement Pians, otherwise <br />the City shall have the right to use the Performance Bond money to complete ai- <br />repair the improvements. The two-year period of construction may be extended by <br />Council for good cause." (7he underlined portion indicates the change recommended.i <br />Mr. West seconded Mr. Manqani's motFon ta approve the above, and the "yeas" were <br />Caster, Eian, Fotz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani, West. <br />Mr. Caster requested that leqislation be drawn acceptinq Noreen Subdi"'Asion tor <br />dedlcation. <br />Mr. Caster requested that legislation be drawn authorizing the Safety-Service <br />Director to instruct the Engineer to proceed with plans and specifications ror- <br />Dover Road sidewalks. <br />Mr. Caster requested that legislation be prepared instructlnq the Safety-Service <br />Director to instrucfi the Engineer to proceed with pians for Southern, Midvale and <br />Decker paving. <br />Mr. Folfiz requested that legislation be prepared to amend Codified Ordinance, <br />Chapter 1501 - Fire Prevention Code - to adopt the 1965 Fire Prevention Code af <br />American lnsurance Associatlon, and to add Sectlon 1501.10, covering an automatic <br />fire extinguishing system. <br />Mr. Foltz requested that legislation be prepared amending Ordinance 64-110 with <br />regard to requirinq the property owner rather than the City to be responsibie <br />for placing and maintaining the markings of the fire lanes. <br />Mr. Foitz requested that Ieglslation be prepared to amend Ordinance 2386 on fees <br />for sidewalk construction permlfs, to be $10 where grades have prerdiously been <br />esfiablished and $30 for all other- sidewalk construcflon permits, without any <br />refunds or rebates. <br />Mr. Foltz requested that the rules of Council be amended by renaminq the foilowinq <br />Committees of Council: Public Development and Service to Municipal Deveiopment; <br />Public Utilities to Public Service and Utilitwes; and City Planning to Design <br />and P{attinq Commitfiee. <br />?
