"YeaS'' Elar, FcltzA !iadgvns, Lampert, <br />hlangane arc' Westa <br />Ordinance No, 67-237 was introduced by Mr. Westo An Ordarance to provede <br />for the issuance of a note in anticipation of the issuarsce of bonds for the <br />purpose of paying part of the City's share of the cost o* constructing sani- <br />tary sewers and necessary appurtenances in Zones 2 and 3 af the City, iriciud- <br />ing the acqui_i+tion of the necessary real esta*e and interests in real estate, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. West moved for the suspension of the rule <br />requi ring three separate readings, seconded by P3r, r1anganio,Affi rmative <br />vote was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limperr, Mangani and "vJest. Mr°. Wes* then <br />moved for adoption, seconded by Mre Maragano. F?ffir°mative vote was Eian, <br />Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani and West. <br />Under old busaness Mr. West inquired where we stand on last stage of our <br />sewerso Mr. Christman repl i ed that we are awai t+r.g a grant offer from <br />State of Ohia for approximateiy $200,000. Nopefualy we should be ready <br />to get under contract when the grant offer is made. Engdneers are bring- <br />ing pians up-to-date. <br />Mr. West brought up the question of Zoning Board cf Appeals consistentiy <br />granting permission for Zoning variances, w+th particular meration of <br />larger and rarger signs. Law Director Kitchen remariced that he had sub- <br />mi tted several rremorandurns on zoni ng vari ances to the Boarcl, as to what <br />involves a hardship, etc. Mr. Mangani feels we should do something about <br />thi s. <br />Under New Business, Mro Limpert rnentioned that the 'Gransportation Committee <br />would like to meet with entire Council at 7030 p,m., October lOth; and then <br />half an hour later with Committee of Eleven, representang people concerned <br />with increase in school fares particuiarly. <br />Mr. Mangani askeci how we can specificaoly enforce 0rdinance pertaining to <br />Shopping Cen*ers, which he feels is a rea'i problem un North Olmsted, parti- <br />cularly witi-i reference to shopping carts and waste paper ail over shopping <br />center. Var3ous methods were discussed. It was decided that Council try <br />to arrange a meeting with store managers to get their coaperation on this <br />probiem. <br />Mrs. Hodgins asked that legisiation be drawn up to enter into contract with <br />Pure Oil Coe to put in a section of sewer before they get their paving and <br />parking lot startedo <br />Mr. West requested legislation for increasing salaries of the Superintendent <br />of Operateons of Bus Line to $7500 per year, Supervisor of Maintenance to a <br />range from $325 to $375, and saiary for Superintendent of Bus Lirae to $9,000.
