<br />Correction of February 18th minutes, page 2, last sentence, first pacagraph:
<br />Planning Commission requested study be made of house moving ordinance. The
<br />minutes were then approved as corrected,
<br />Mrs, Hodgins, Chairman Liquor Control Committee, said notification has
<br />been received from ')enartr?e»e o` Liquor Control regarding daLe of hearing
<br />for request for ''' r,ermit for James Voik -April 3rd As Chairman of Pub-
<br />lic Service & ULiLities Committee, Mrs. Hodgins distributed copies o.f a
<br />new plan for waste disposal to Council membersa
<br />Mr- Caster, Ghairman of Appointments, Industrial Development and Mun:tci-
<br />pa1 Development Committees, reported on meeting of February 26th wizll
<br />the Engineering Department, Council and residents of Martin, North Pdrk
<br />and Lansing Drives- The meeting had been called because of perition re-
<br />ceived from these residents asking that no drainage ditches be put in
<br />this area after sanitary sewers are installed. Mr. Caster's c:ompleie
<br />written report on this meeting will be given to Council and the qdminis-
<br />tration. Mr. Caster summed up his report by saying he believed that there
<br />should be a general review of the whole area. Then review should be sub-
<br />mitted to Floyd Browne, Inc., along with our Engineer's recummendacions
<br />to minimize depth of ditches, and asking Floyd Browne, Inc to revise
<br />plans, if possible, before going into final drainage plans. Mr- Caster
<br />assured r°esidents that consideration will be given their reque5t as far
<br />as possible and practicable-
<br />Mr. Caster also reported that on February 18th this Committee had met with
<br />the Engineer regarding a Martin Drive property (P.P.232-3-32). The sani-
<br />tary sewer line had been installed by developer on Oring Drive. When the
<br />interceptor sewer for Contract 11 is tied into the package plant, the
<br />bulkhead at the package plant will be removed making this section between
<br />the package pYant and this parcel useable. The owner of above mentioned
<br />parcel had asked to be relieved of frontage assessmen.t. Gommittee feels, how-
<br />ever, ti-iat property should be assessed the same as any other but service
<br />connectlon would not be assessed to this owner, Mr. Caster, moved that
<br />Council accept this report, Motion seconded by Mr. Prokasy- "Yeas" Caster,
<br />Hodgins, Miller, Prokasy, West.
<br />MrF West, Chairman Finance Committee, said this committee had met with
<br />'I'ransportation Committee to discuss status of bus line, what was needed
<br />in way of replacements, finances needed in order to provide for new buses,
<br />possibility of Federal Grants, and also possibility of expanding runs into
<br />several subdivisions where there have been requests to have this kind of
<br />service. Another meeting fo discuss all this in further detail is scheduled
<br />for March YOth. Committee also discussed Recreation Commission's request
<br />for consuYtant to assist them on city-wide plan for recreation and develop-
<br />ment, and there is Iegislation on agenda for same,
