Council Minutes 2/18/69 <br />Ordinance No. 69-35 was introduced by Mr, Eian, An Ordinance giv- <br />ing consent of the City of North Olmsted to participation with the <br />Director of Highways of the State of Ohio and the National Safety <br />Council in providing reporfs for a highway safety program analysis <br />and proposing to cooperate with the said Direetor in certain matters <br />ineident thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Eian moved for <br />suspension of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by <br />Mr, West. Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limperc, MilYer, <br />Prokasy, West, Mr, Eian then moved for adoption of Ordinance, secm <br />onded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, West- <br />Resolution No, 69-36 was introdueed by Mrs. Hodgins, A ResoYution <br />opposing the application for a Liquor Permi.t within the City of <br />North Olmsted by James Voik, and declaring an emergency, Mrs, Hodgins <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three separate readings, sec- <br />onded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, West. Mrs. Hodgins then moved for adoptiion of the <br />Resolution, seconded by Mrm West. Affirmative vote CasLer, Eian, <br />Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, Westa <br />Mr. West requested Clerk to advise people on Westminster Drive and <br />also the Post Office, of the change in spelling of Westminster Drive. <br />Under new business, Mr. West requested legislation changing the organ- <br />izational chart of Police Department and pay, provide for a Juvenile <br />Officer in Bureau of Detectives and plain clothes' allowance; also one <br />additional clerk- Fire Department pay ordinance also to be adjusted, <br />making both Police and Fire effective June 1, 1968, Legislation author- <br />izing City to contribute $150 to Music Festival this coming summer, if <br />it is he1d. Legislation adjusting Assistant Law Director's and Prose- <br />cuting Attorney's salaries- <br />Mr, Caster discussed the Engineering report of work in process for <br />Barton, Butternut and Mapleridge sidewalk program with GounGil, and <br />it was agreed Engineering Department should go ahead with plans and <br />specifications for sidewalks, Mrs. Hodgins asked if this would in- <br />clude Theresa Lane, Mr- Caster said it would- <br />Mra Limpert asked the Mayor if it would be possible to ciean up area <br />on Mill Rd, which is an eyesore - full of junk and debris since Mura1 <br />& Son have been working in there, Mayor Christman said he would see <br />that the contractors and Service Department cleaned up this area. <br />Mr. Mil1er moved meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Eian- "Yeas" <br />Caster, Hodgins, Eian, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />The meeting adjourned to call of Glerk at 8:40 p.m, <br />c,; Florence Holm, C1erk of Council Francis J. 0'Ne' 1 President of Council
