Sruce Kitdwn, Pinen+ee Directcr William Gerlach, <br />CiCy Lngineer Tlichsel Ratham, C2erk of Council Ndra H3I1. <br />Minutes of Council Meeti,ng af SeptaTaber 21, 1971 were apprtnred as resd. <br />Mayox ChrlsCman reported the iol3oaring: 1} Board of Contral met and <br />awaxded bids on the micro *traintng equipmsat - Contrsct 2 E- to Bay <br />Constructian in amovnt af $483,960.; also awarded the contract for <br />electrical for tertisry - Cemtract 2 F- to Atlas Electric Compunq, low <br />hidder, in amount of $15,730.; Halleen Pord was given the contrsct on five <br />police cars at a cost of $3,167.83 each and the branch chipper was awarded <br />to rUtz & Merrill at a cost of $4,635. <br />2) presented petiticms thst A11 be ci,rculating throughout the City to <br />Governor Gilligaa to try ta expedite constructian of I 480 through North <br />Olmasted, requeating Couneil and a,nyone interested to help. <br />Service Director Caster stated there is s new dxaiaage plan for tZaple <br />Ridge and suggested ameetiag of Streets & Drainage Committee an Octaber <br />9, 1971, 10:40 A.M., City Hall to review the plan, and also suggested <br />residem ts cm Maple BLdge be notified o£ auch meeting. <br />Mr. Grady, Chairman Intra Governmental Relations & Legielation, reported <br />this Committee had considered progratm iastituted at Bal.dwin-Wa11ce Cn].1ege <br />which involves participatiaan in gavernment by atudents. Committee recommends <br />legielation be given a number and Council pass on it th3s evening. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairnan Finaace Comaniteee, called for a Finance Committee <br />meeting on Octaber 12, 1972, 7:30 P.M. <br />Mr. Speedllug, Chaixman Environmrental Control Commi.ttee, called far a <br />Environatental Control Committee meeting on Qetober 12, 1971, aC 8;00 P.M. <br />Mr. West, Chairmaa Transportation Committee and Building, Zon3ng & Develop- <br />T <br />ment Committee reported the following: 1) Traaagortati.on Committee met and <br />decided to crmtinue w3th the tickets cm bus Zine but the ticket$ wi12 cost <br />the usual fare in effect in 3une. Received petiticros requasting; the can- <br />tinuance of the tlckets because of ccmvenience, even though the fare roverted <br />back to mhat was in effect in June. Lacal fare wss reduGed by SC. t3rdinance <br />covezing same 3s on agenda. <br />Continuing his report, ?ir.
