Council Minutes of 10-20-70 <br />Page -11- y' <br />Mr. Boehmer calZed for a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting on <br />Monday, October 26, 1970, imnedistely aftex C.E.I. meeting. <br />Mr. Limpert requested a change in Ord. 65-16I and will forw:rd necessary <br />information to the Law Directar. <br />Mrs. Hodgins ssked if legialation will be requested for request of <br />Service Director - salt and cinders. 13r. Limpert requesfi.td to hsve a <br />Committee meeting f.n near future and hawe legislation an hand by next <br />meeting. Asked Mr. Caster ff:same would be alI right. Mr. CasteY repiied <br />yes. <br />For the balaace of Crnmcfl other than Mr. Baehmer and Mr. Limpert, Mr. <br />Caster reported on the meetiu??g which was held relative to equi t that <br />cauld be scrapped or sa3vaged. There are a caup2e of ald sait spresders, <br />front ead crawier, a backteoe, 1 1/2 tan pick-up truck, two cars and a <br />few other small items. At the meeting, Mr. Csster sCated it was undoc3dec1 <br />8s to what t4 do with some af this, so he is haviag the mecharni.t»s wark up <br />a cost of salvaging some of the equipweat that was anttcipated eou1d be <br />salvaged. He atated r.he msintaa,ance budget is rapidly being depl+etesd so <br />depending on what the neehgaic caaees up with cost wi.ss and what we are <br />going to have left in the buciget will have a big hesring on what ia dcne <br />iaith this equipment. Mr. tdest asked if truck Nv. 18 is included to whicte <br />Mr. Caster replied yes. <br />Mr. ZJest asked Mayvx Christsm where ure stmad on the sewer plant noa. <br />Mayor Christmm said bids will be received Noveaber Sth - gaiag tlYrough <br />bidding stage now. <br />Mr. West asked if we could ascertain status on the application for fecleral <br />grant an buses. <br />Mayor Chris ttaan s tat+ed this is now gaing through NUACA and requires this <br />approval before it goes to Weshington. It has cleared the Begianal <br />P3arniing Comissioa. He haffi not heard if NOACA has acted on same. <br />Mr. West requested Mayor Chxistmati to see if he can find out. <br />Mr. Caster stated he had a rather odd request at the Sewage Treatmeat Plaat. <br />There is a resideat fn North 02ested who haa a camp tzailer and reqtestecl <br />to dvM his ssnitsry weste. The aperator of the plant suggested soab sort <br />of identification €or Narth Olmsted reeidents in getting rid af their <br />saaitary wastes from e.,=p trailers, mobile homes, etc. Right naw it is <br />not a problem but it may 6ecvme one in the future, and Mr. Caater feele <br />we should extend this courtesy to local residents. Mr. Caster would like <br />to refer to the Legislative Committee for study of some I.D. sqstem sad/or <br />legiaiatian. <br />President 0'Neill referred ssme to Mr. Grady's comttiCCee. <br />4D Mr. West made anotion to adjourn, secanded by Mr. Bcxehmer.
