Further, will request 3.egislation aa <br />rezoning request far eactena3c>n of Coumtry Club Apartments, and, aIso, rezaQiag <br />for Embassy Apartments. <br />The Clerk read a letter fram Mr. Lsslie W. Jockers, 3512 Huinter 13rive, re- <br />garding situation involving his property and causitag a flooding cauzditian <br />in rear of hfs lot. <br />Mr. West inquired as to definite pl.ans regardiag situaticm. Mr. Rarhaun <br />stated a drawing hss b+een made and submitted to Service Departaent and the <br />5:.3:-?ce Director is naw ia process af obtainiag pricea. Mr. Wstts stated <br />t`-,is will be done soometime before the end of the Su?er. Cierk was requested <br />to notify Mx. Jockers regarding same. <br />The Clerk read a petition signed bq residents of Deerfield Develapment <br />rQquesting Council to check into and alleviate prablem af storm water and <br />sewage dmosge to their homes. Pettticyn requested smoke tests be Caksn as <br />zecommeaded by City Engiaeer; secondly, the opexe draina$o ditch be dradged <br />and enclosed. If these measures da not a].levi.ate the probiems, the <br />residents insist scme actioa be taken by Council. <br />Mr. Karhan ststed smeke testing and dye testing hgs been started in that <br />area; have dqe tested dcwnapauts; repaixed two saai.tary swers tn the area - <br />Doe Drine and Deerf3eld T7rrive under Serv3.ce Director' s direction; hsve am <br />checking everything; have started on Fawa Drive sitd will continue on Chsse. <br />Mr. West qwestianed when same will be completed so reaidents caa be Aotified <br />thaC we have done all that is required to a2leviate the prablem. <br />Mr. Watts stated this goes back to what was discussed with the rdsidenta of <br />Staneybrook. We are loc?kisig at a smcke testing program, purdiasirig equip- <br />a?ent, F+ederal Prograrn stuaty for West Side that is underwap nctiar - have re- <br />ceived uaofficial notificatian that Grant has beea apgroved. Mr. Wttts <br />further stated there is not a qulck or e"q solution to th"e prcblees. We <br />have a Retention Study which has been submiCted to Council; a1.so it i: not <br />just a prc?blem in this develapment; it goes back to drainage prablm of the <br />whale area. <br />Mr. West asked aihet status 3s on further televisir?g aad gzouting af sanitary <br />soarers in this particular area.
