Council Minutes of 11-8-72 <br />-4- <br />of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative <br />vote Boehmer, Giessen, Lampert, Prok4~y, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mr. <br />Lampert moved for adoption of Resolution, seconded by Mr, West. Affirmative <br />vote Boehmer, Giesler, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion <br />carried. Res. No. 72-183 adopted, <br />Ordinance No. 72-I84 was introduced by Mr. Lia~-ert and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance fixing the compensataoa of the President of Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted to be elected. <br />Ordinance No. 72-185 was introduced by Mr. Lampert and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance establishing the Organizational Chart of the Law impartment, <br />setting forth the complement of the Law Department, and establishing the <br />salaries of the Members of the Law Department, and repealing Ordinance No. <br />72-72. <br />Resolution No. 72-186 was introduced by Mr. 4+Test and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution authorising the Mayor to enter into negotiations for property <br />necessary for the building of the Brookpark Extension. <br />Ordinance No. 72-187 was introduced by Mr. Speedling and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Metro-India, <br />Inc., for the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Lines advertising. <br />Ordinance No. 72-188 was introduced by Mr. Lampert and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance fixing the eo~rensation of the Members of the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted to be elected. <br />Under Old Business: Mr. Prokasy cowexited the proposed salary Increases for <br />elected City Officials, if adopted, is not effective until January 1, 197+. <br />Further, the salary of the Mayor has not been increased in four years and the <br />salary of Council and President of Council has not been increased in eight <br />years. He further commented on the responsibilities and work load involved <br />as Mayor of the City. <br />Under New Business: Mrs. Saringer asked Service Director Gas ter what the <br />procedure is regarding leaf pickup. Mr. Caster stated he is getting good <br />cooperation from the residents. Many of them are either bagging their <br />leaves or putting them in containers and putting them out on regular collection <br />day. So far Service Department has alI it, can handle 3uat taking care of <br />roadside ditches to keep sewers from plugging up and driveway culverts open. <br />Still asking cooperation of the residents and 99 out of 100 are doing it. <br />New equipment was discussed. <br />Mr. West made a motion that meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mx. Bauer. <br />Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giessen, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, <br />West.
