Council Minutes of 2-1-72 <br />_g- <br />Ordinance No. 72-15 was introduced by Mr. Prokasy and given its first <br />reading. An Ordinance establishing the complement of that Recreation <br />Department affixing, the co~epenaation to be paid the waenbers therefore <br />and repealing Ord. No, 71-36, enacted March 2, 1971. <br />Under Old Business: Mr. West said he and Mr. Liwpert checked out the <br />cowplaint regarding light in rear yerd of resident which invadeed privacy <br />of neighbor. Ha'ea diaerassed saste with rapx+iesentative of C.E.I. and <br />C.E.I. is willing to coesider releca~tr-g pole aa~ shielding light to keep <br />it away from this particular neighs providing the person that owns the <br />light and pole is willing to go along with that. <br />Law Director Kitchen advised Ccwncil that the Court of Appeals has upheld, <br />and he understands there will not be an appeal frow there, the City's <br />Ordinance regulating the hcrtacs that a self serve sofa wash can operate <br />as valid and the City will now be able to repsula~te the hours. <br />Under New Business: Mrs. Saringer said she had spoken to the Senior <br />Gitisena and Mr. Charles I~finos, President said he is going to swv+s forward <br />and make North Olwsted Sec-or Citiss~~s the eat outstaaading organisation <br />1n northeast Ohio. Ike requested copy of minutes of Council feting to <br />keep club inforwed. <br />Mrs. Saringer discussed call she had received regarding Mrs. Ludwig's <br />property behind Suaaoco Station. Txucks have been parking in lot with <br />engines running,- soasttiwes as aa~ as four through the night. A "no <br />parking" sigt- was put up but was torn down. She wondered if it"woaald be <br />possible to notify oac~er to put a chain across driveway. Discussion <br />continued. Clerk will send letter to Mrs. Ludwig, owner of the property, <br />to put chain across driveway to alleviate problem. <br />Mrs. Saringer stated she has requests from residents on West 230 and <br />West 232 Sts. for streets to be resurfaced. Wondered if this could be <br />put into CossAittee. Mr. Prolcasy, Chairman Streets 6 Drainmp~e, suggested <br />request also be referred to Service Director Caster for consideration <br />when his department prepares schedule of streets to be resurfaced, <br />priority, etc. <br />Mr. Boehner requested legislation for $50. petty cash for Police Dept. <br />for food for prisoners. <br />Mr. Limpert r®queated legislation for annual Bus Dxiver Safety hard <br />Dinner in amount of $5tK1. <br />Mr. bleat requested legislation for revision of Sandy Ridge Subdivision ~8 <br />to allow new street opening within the s~division ss it cot~ets to <br />subdivision in t~estlaks; also legislation dlastging the news of Great <br />Northern Blvd. to Victoria Lat3e atK1 to Country Club Blvd., and requested <br />Engineer to submit pertinent infoxwatio+n to Law Director. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked status of rspos^t oa recycling in Deerfied. Mr. Caster <br />3sid it is not completed but will be avail~-le in near future. <br /> <br />
