Council Minutes of 10-16-73 -5- <br />Ordinance No. 73-132 was introduced by Mr. Lampert. An Ordinance authorizing <br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for repairs to sanitary <br />sewers, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lampert moved for suspension of <br />rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: <br />Boehmer, Giessex, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mr. Lampert <br />moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. West. Affirn-ative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, <br />Lampert, Prokasy, Saxingex, Speedling, West. Motion carried. Ord. Na. 73-132 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 73-133 was introduced by Mrs. 5aringer. A Resolution urging <br />the Legislature of the State of Uhio to immediately establish rules and <br />regulations to regulate abortion practices in the State of Ohio, and declaring <br />an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />separate readings, seconded by Mr. Giesser. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, <br />Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mr. Giesser. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, LimPert, Prokasy, <br />Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. Res. No. 73-133 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 73-134 was introduced by Mr. West and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the J. Herbert Bazur's Re- <br />Subdivision. <br />Resolution No. 73-135 was introduced by Mr. West and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the Stearns Road Re-Subdivision. <br />~+ Under Old Business: <br />~+' Mrs. 5aringer asked Mr. Boehmer status of streetlights that were requested <br />before C.E.I. went on strike. Mr. Boehmer stated streetlights are ordered; <br />as soon as crews can get to it they will be put up. twill check to make sure <br />orders are at Service Center. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer stated she has request for streetlights on Michael Drive - <br />4513 Michael Drive. <br />Mrs. Saringer requested legislation requesting all municipalities and elected <br />officials of Northern Ohio to help prevent any further runway extension at <br />Cleveland Hopkins Airport. <br />Mr. Giesser requested legislation be drawn regarding abortion clinics as <br />per information forwaxded to Law Director. <br />Mr. Lampert referred to traffic pattern at Gold Circle - Yield Sign at end <br />of Sparky Lane near Gold Circle area and also a Yield Sign inside Gold Circle <br />property for traffic coming out. Feels this is conflicting and would eliminate <br />problems if a Stop sign was placed on Gold Circle Property. Safety Director <br />Carnahan stated Stop Sign has been requested and will be put up. <br />President O'Neill referred to incident wherein he was contacted by resident <br />ctn Lorain Rd. who had six containers and was anxious to have s~ picked up <br />so they would not be exposed to people going to Church S~day morning. Mr. <br />O'Neill called report in to Police Department who accepted report and said <br />they would notifq Service Department on Saturday morning, which they did not. <br />President O'Neill would like to make sure the Police Dept. and Service Dept. <br />are coordinating their efforts. President O'Neill requested Safety Director <br />Carnahan to follow up. <br /> <br />
