Council Minutes of 7-17-73 <br />-2- <br />Mr. Lispert, Chairsan Ftuiaace Cgwsittee, reported Cossittee has had meetings <br />but nothing to report at this time. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairs Transportation Cowisitt~, scheduled a Transportation <br />Comaittae meeting on July 2~-, 1973, 8:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />Mr. West, Cbairiesn Building, Zoning ~ Developsent Cossrittee and Lo~tg <br />P]s~ctning Cossrittee, reporte8 the ffi. Z. ~ D. Ccrssittee stet and discuss~rd and <br />reviewed following: 1) Country Clab Gondosiinius~ signs to ba fastalt at <br />each end of Country Club Blvd. 9~~s wi11 be on City Property ~ the dividing <br />strip and, therefore, requires City approval. Cossdttee reviaMSd the signs <br />and feels they are appropriate. <br />Mr. Went sowed that Council approvse the Country Club Condosinius algae -one on <br />each end of Gauntry Club Blvd. Motion seconded by Mr. Hoehser. Affitc~tive <br />vote: Boehser, Liepert, Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, West. abstained: G3esser. <br />Reason for abstaining - Father of Mr. Giesser's law partner fe the si~gu cc~pa~r <br />making the signs.) Motion carried. <br />2) Extension of Jenkisu: R+c--ad - Ccsimittee - Cosmittee agreed with raco!sssrdatian <br />of Adsinistration that this extension should be concrete insteed of aaphrslt as <br />are all other new streets that see into the City, as required by ordinance. <br />3) Moore Subdivision -drainage revie~eed and is satisfactory. Legislation will <br />be requested to approve for record puarposes only; <br />4) Cosmittee stt with Park Midge repres+tntativw and developer of Park Plana <br />Retail Center at corner of Lorai:a Ed. ~ Fork Rids Driv+s, and reviewed traffic <br />survey City had made plus a'lmtt d~vhele:per's representatives had ands. Tt Was <br />agreed Casoittee still did not have enough infarsation. Cossittee has asked fox <br />a co~eplete layout of that Lorain flload area with location of traffic lights, etc. <br />and agreed to Beet again with all parties concerned. <br />Mr. Prakasy, Chairsaan Streets & Drainage Cacsaittee, as~1 Recreation, Public Parks <br />& Building Cosbeittee, reported following: 1} re Parks & Recreation - seetings <br />are continuing between Recreation Comisisaion and other interested parties, anel <br />Koster ~ Associates, architects, who are Working on proposal for a cosbised <br />pool and ice rink. At this point are considering the proble~a of site location. <br />Nothing definite to report at this time; <br />2) re Res. No. 73-37 on agenda for second reading. Would like to aseed legislation <br />by an addition to the agreessnt which is part of Res. No. 73-37. <br />Mr. Prokasy sowed to amend Ass. No. 73-37 in the following respect: "Add Ites <br />7 under Section 1 of Fage 5 of the ARreesent reading:'The l.awd sha11 luR divided <br />between the City and School Board. according to atta~ed plot plan of the Forcer <br />Road Site "' . Motion sectaZded by Mr. Boehmer. <br />Mr. Prokasy commented vote is an the aerandsxant and not on the entire legislation. <br />Roll Call on Motion: Affinsatve vote: Boehser, Giessen, Lis:pert, Prep, <br />Beringer, 3peedli~, West. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Chriatsm discussed housit:g of our prisoners at the Cleve2s~td i~-rl~ovse <br />because the Gofmty Sail is overcrowded and will .accept no sorts. Aa~ne bisn <br />notified that the charge of $8.50 per day is not cor~ertng the cast of the care <br />of these prisoners and the rate has been increased to $22.50.
