Council Minutes of May 1, 1973 -1~- Under Naw Business: President O'Neill inquired of Mayor Christian if anymore has been beard concerning waste diapasal setup in Brcaokparlc. Mayor Christina talked to Mayor Wedo after the hearing at Comity Ca®iasioners oa their pla~-. Mayor Wedo was is process of writing letter to Ford which he felt would permit them to move ahead. Has not heard a~rmore. Under Nsw Business: Mr. bleat requested legislation to provide for the acquisition of the Matthews property; 2egialation to approve for record purposes only the McCroae Subdivision; legislation to approve for record purposes Daly the Sauter R,e-Subdivision. Mrs. Beringer has xeceive~i request for street lights oa Noreen. Mrs. Beringer discussed possibility of one. Mrs. Beringer also receiv~ad request for street light wear 2358 Westchester. Mr. bleat asked Mr. Boehier to check into possibility of a street light at end of Silverdale; intersection there and also pathway into Pine School. Also discussed electricity not going dawn that far. Mr. Boehmer has received request for street light oa Sweetbrier Drive. Mayor Christian camsented that requests for street lights might be subsitted to Finance Cosmittee because City is up to appropriations oa street lighting. Mr. West inquired as to status of dedication on Dorothy Drive. Mr. Rarhan said inspection was made crf manholes, sanitary sewers sad storm suers. There were a number of manholes that hmd bin moved during construction of houses and there is some iud in the sanitary and store sewers. Have written letter to Forest City asking them to clean it up. Save not heard from thee. Have a meeting tomorrow with representatives of Forest City ind Henaie Noses to get situation on dead center. Mr. West discussed the aiouat of a~ud aid sand on street with half ending up in the sewers because of rain and asked if City cannot shut then down sad tell them to clean up the street and keep it clean or do not build any sore. Mr. Rarhaa explained he is running into problems with the mud on the street as it is not a dedicated street. Dis- cussion continued. Mr. Rarhan will check with Law Director. Mr. Speedling referred to Dorothy Drive and asked Mr. Rarhan if any more has been done in the way of solving the drainage problei that has been discussed. Mr. ~arhan stated he has talked to Heanie Hoses several tiles about getting the rear yard drains fn, sad he was informed it is still too wet for equipment to get back there. As soon as equipment can get back in there they will put then in. Mr. 3peedling cai~ated it is not too wet for them to be putting in foundations and thinks Mr. Karhan should shut them down until something is dears about the drainage. Discussion continued.
