Council Minutes of 1-2-74 _2- <br />Mr. Goggin, Chairman Streets & Drainage Camwittee, scheduled a Committee Meeting <br />on January 8, 1974, 8:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Robert Engleson, National City Bank, expressed appzecaation for fine <br />relationship enjoyed with the City over past many years and hopes it continues. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 73-148 introduced by Mr. Prokasy was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution declarin; the nec+es~sity of constructing certain sidewalks on Sparky <br />Lane, requiring that abutting property owners construct the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. Goggin moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative <br />vote: Giesler, Goggin, Lampert, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion <br />carried. Res. No. 73-148 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 73-15© introduced by Mr. Giessen c~as given its second reading. <br />An Ordinance accepting for dedication Benwood Circle (751 lineal feet) in the <br />Blossom Dover Subdivision No. 1. <br />Resolution No. 73-151 introduced by Mx. Boehmex was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the DuBose Subdivision. <br />Resolution No. 73-157 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution objecting to the application of Fox Radio Parts Co. of Columbus, <br />Inc., dba the Grapevine fn conformance with the provisions of O.R.C. 4303.261 <br />and further due to "suitability of location" and declaring as emergency. Mrs. <br />Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three separate readings. <br />Reason: Last Council meeting motion to suspend rule requiring three separate <br />readings was defeated. Although the 3Q day time period has passed the legislation <br />should be dispensed with. Motion seconded by Mr. Lampert. Affirmative vote: <br />Giessen, Goggin, Limpext, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Negative vats: West. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Lampert. Affirmative vote: <br />Lampert, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Giessen, Goggin, West. <br />4 Yeas - 3 Nays - Motion carried. Res. No. 73-157 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 74-1 was introduced bq Mr. Lampert. A Resolution directing the <br />Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of North Olmsted, Ohio during the <br />year 1974 all tax money due and awan$ said City from any collection source. Mr. <br />Lampert moved for suspension of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded <br />by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: Giesler, Goggin, Lampert, Saringer, Sharpe, <br />West Wilamosky. Mr. Lampert moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. West. Affirma- <br />tive vote: Giessen, Gogg3n, Lampert, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion <br />carried. Res. No. 74-1 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 74-2 was introduced by Mr. Lampert and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the deposit <br />of public monies with the institutions designated by Council as depositories <br />for the active and inactive accounts of the City. <br />Ordinance No. 74-3 was antraduced by Mr. Lampert. An Ordinance to make appro- <br />priations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending December 31, 1974.
