Mr. Wilamosky withdrew his sotion. Mra. Beringer withdrew ber <br />second. <br />Mr. Beaty asked about the striping of streets which would be participation in <br />a State Program. Safety Dirs+etor Cs~ explained there will be ~ striping <br />by the State or County until next year; but the signs are still go. <br />Mr. Wilasosky comeented he will be asking for legislation for financing for the <br />signs under New Busi~ss: <br />Mr. Beaty stated he questions the priority list on streets and stated the north <br />south portion of Kennedy Ridge is in very bad condition and in his estimation is <br />much worse than a couple of other streets on the priority list. Also discussed <br />a traffic survey which was done ot~ the north south portion of Kennedy Ridge. <br />Mr. Beaty asked for reconsideration to include this short section even if one <br />of the other streets have to be sacrificed because he feels there is no comparison. <br />Mra. Saringer stated Committee will check into ease and advise Mr. Beaty. <br />Mr, Boehmer discussed with Safety Director Carnahan when Safety Town will be <br />opened. He has receiv ~, co~rlsints from residents whose children use those <br />basketball courts and the cables are in the way. Mr. Boehser asked IKr. Carnahan <br />to look into this to see if soeethx~g can be done. Mr. Carnahan said he will <br />check but when you have Safety Town there - you can't have children playing <br />basketball. They could play basketball at the High Scbool. Mr. West stated the <br />Recreation Commission is looking at building a basketball nets and courts right <br />across from Safety Towa and they are asking for bids, etc. <br />Mr. Goggin asked Mr. Boehmer for an update on the request he had for streetlight <br />at Dover and Marcie. Mr. Boehsar stated nothing has been dcros on that yet but <br />this will have to go thru the Safety Director and Mr. Boshmer thinks that can be <br />changed with no problem and no cost to the City. <br />President Lampert brought up the subject of Chef Genes and condition of same, <br />and referred to the fact that Mrs. Saringer brought this up sometime ago. <br />Safety Director Carnahan stated the Building Dept. has been in there trying to <br />find reasons for condeming the building but to-date have not found anything <br />serious enough. Law Director Gareau commented he has talked to the attorney for <br />the prospective new owner and it is a pretty sure thing that they will probably <br />acquire it and they will demolish that building. Discussion ensued. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked Safety Director Carnahan or the Safety Committee to determine <br />the possibility of installation of atrestiights on Wedgewood Drive and the <br />cul-de-sacs off of Wedgewood Drive. <br /> <br />
