i <br />Council Minutes of 7-5-78 <br />-2- <br />3) is currently performing an analysis and developing cost estiastes of some <br />needed improvements in the Police Firing Range - will have more information later. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairman Streets & Flrainage Committee, reported Committee meeting <br />was held June 28, 1978. In att a were Service Director Corrigat-, City <br />Engineer Zurewski, President of Coil Lmpert and. all Committee Iers. Mr. <br />Boguski sad his son, of 3$68 Claw Sri., were in attendance to discuss a problem <br />with respect to the ditch tbet r throv~h the rear yards. This seeds to be ze- <br />dug and the City Engineer asd Service Direector will check it out to see what can <br />be done to improve the situation. The C3.ty will send a letter to Fairvievr Officials <br />inquiring as to their plans for _ t of Coe ditch; <br />2) under discussion was the sear at the concrete streets and was informed the <br />program will be under way after July #tb. The street resurfacing progrem~ will <br />begin. around July 10th. The list for concrete street repair is being reviewed <br />to determine what streets are in the xarst condition. The City will repair as <br />much as can be lane within the budget; <br />3) also discussed the further deterioration of Stoneybrook Drive. The street is <br />becoming hazardous. The police have s~eported it as such in certain areas. Mrs. <br />Sarisger would like to invite all of Coil to ride. down the street a~ evaluate <br />its condition. Hopes the Administration will give top prioritq to the pereasent <br />repair of the street; <br />4) repair of berme will be dens on Brookpark Rd.; <br />5) the Citq Engineer is pursuing the ~ssible widening of Claque Road at Lorain and <br />Claque Rd. for turn lease. <br />Mr. Beaty, Chairman Intra Gover~tmentsl Rsiations & Legisaltion Coweitteee, reported <br />Committee met briefly before Council feting and requested legislatiesae~+proving <br />an official City seal which will be on the Council Table if anyone caress to view <br />it after the meeting. The legisla<tios ha8 been written and Mrs. Petrigac, who is <br />on Landmarks Commission, will introduce same tonight. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, and Transportation <br />Committee, reported Commtteue ~t with Fire Chief and discussed a near 4-wheel <br />drive truck and an air compressor for use in the Fire Department. Would like to <br />turn same over to Finance Committee to determine if there is money to pursue getting <br />this equipment; <br />2) Committee discussed briefly 5 new police cars - would like to turn this request <br />over to the Finance Committee; <br />3) Committee discussed Ord. No. 78-97 which is on first reading tonight. Will <br />request suspension of rule requ,i,ring three separate readings The legislation <br />pertains to blasting and would like to get this into effect as soon as possible <br />because the blasting will soon be started on Y-480. <br />President Limpert referred equipment for the Fire Department and police cars into <br />Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee and Long Range Planning Committee, <br />reported Lon$ Range Planning Commdttee vet on June 27th to discuets a request by <br />the Chairman of the Landmarks Comarlssion. The Chairman of Landmarks Commission <br />did not attend the Committee Meeting as requested, and the Committee did not under- <br />take any discussions but hope to be able to meet with the Chairman or a representative <br />of the Landmarks Commission for discussion of their goal to designate this building <br />as a landmark. <br />
