Council Minutes of b-20-78 <br />-2- <br />pre-construction meeting with Great Lakes Construction Co~any. With respect to <br />Horvitz Company - on the section be~reia Grace aad Mackensie &+ads - their <br />request is Daly to s~ork betweem 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.ta., which would be a long <br />shift. <br />Last Director Gateau reported: 1) last Friday rectived a notice of appeals in <br />the Big O Case; <br />2) the Watchol Case with respect to Chagos Park has been tentatively settled. One <br />of the concessions the City to get m.th xespect to any future daarag~s is <br />that We Would not be liable for injunctive action nor could We be liable for any <br />damage that ass done to the siding, gutters or windows. T$e School Board would lose in the ~aighl~s'hood of $340,000. <br />Ass made contact with soma pec-ple at t~ School Board to e~ake this a joint venture <br />with respect to fighting the request for red~tion. <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairman Streets b Drainage Committee, scheduled a Streets & Drainage <br />Committee meeting on June 2$, 19y$, $00 P.2~L, City Hall, sad requested Service <br />Director Corrigan to be in attendance to give Coa~ol.ttee an update an the current <br />street repair program. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, and Transportation <br />Committee, reported the Safety Commtte+e stet and discussed the folloaring: <br />1) application for a C-2 liq~r permit to trnast K. Justice and Ronald ttllom, at <br />261I4 Lorain Rd., and Committee has no objections: <br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council does not object to the application for a C-2 liquor <br />permit to Ernest K. Justice and Ronald Ullcea, 26114 Lorain Rd. Motion seconded by <br />Mr. Beaty. Affirmsti~re vote: Beata, Boehser, Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilampsky. <br />Negative vote: Logan.- Motion carried. <br />2) application for a transfer of D2, D3 and D3A liquor permits from SS&L, Inc., <br />26116 Lorain Rd., to MLC, dba Caesars Lounge, 26116 Lorain Road, and Committee <br />has no objections: <br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council does not object to the application for transfer of D2, <br />D3 and D3A, to MLC, dba Caesars Lounge, 26116 Lorain Rd. Motion seconded by <br />Mr. Beaty, Affirmative vote: 'Beaty, Boehmer, Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. <br />Negative vote: Logan. lotion carried. <br />The Transportation Committee met ~d discussed new equipment for the Service <br />Department and new cars that the City would Like to purchase. Mr. Boehmer wished <br />to bring Mr. Beaty up-to-date as he missed the meeting: <br />2) discussed traffic 11ght at Westvisw b Lorain xds. and same is in Coasaittee; <br />3) discussed a traffic light at R'itch & Butternut Rds. and satwe is in Cossaittee; <br />would like to find out from Finance Co~atafttee if there is any money for new <br />traffic lights; <br />
