Council Minutes of 5-2-78 -9- <br />Resolution No. 78-65 was introduced by Mr.- Wilamosky and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 2500 lbs. of tar in 50 lbs. cartons and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />same, and declaring an ess:rgency. <br />Resolution No. 78-66 was introduced by Mr. Wilamosky and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />1000 tons of slag, and authorising the Mayor to contract for same and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-67 was introduced by Mrs. Beringer and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance, authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners for approval to use <br />Cuyahoga County Motor Vehicle $5. License Tax Funds for participation with the <br />County in the improvement of Mackenzie Road. <br />President.Limpert referred Res. Nos. 78-56, 78-57, 78-58, 78-59, 78-60, 78-61, <br />78-62, 78-63, 78-65 and 78-66 into Finance Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Beaty disGUSSed with Service. Director Corrigan the leaf and brush pickup. <br />Has received a complaint from people on Sunset. Safety Director Corrigan <br />explained the City will be in that area on Saturday as well as other areas. <br />Mr. Beaty requested Finance Director Brockman to ascertain the amount left in <br />unlevied millage that Council can assess. Discussion ensued with respect to <br />how much millage would be needed regarding the Rec Complex. Finance Director <br />Brockman will check and advise Mr. Beaty. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac discussed with Safety Directox Petre Safety Town being moved to <br />the Rec Complex. Mrs. Petrigac discussed Rotary plaque also being moved, etc. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Boehmer scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee and Transportation <br />Committee meeting on May 3, 1978, 7:30 P.M., and requested Safety Director Petre <br />to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked Administration to repair the clock in Council Chambers. <br />Mr.. Wilamosky discussed with Mayor Swietyniowski what progress has been made <br />with respect to the fireworks program. Mayor explained status and will get <br />further information to Finance Committee at Finance Committee umeeting on May 8th. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Beaty stated. he has been requested by the School to look into the possibility <br />of a crossing guard at Fitch 6 Butternut - there is quite heavy traffic there in <br />morning and afternoon. There is concern for the student guards and would like an <br />adult guard; also the possibility of a school crossing sign where Kennedy Ridge <br />meets Butternut Ridge Rd. Safety Director Petre will investigate and report back <br />to Mr. Beaty. <br />Mr. Logan asked status of Brookpark Road survey. City .Engineer explained the <br />only information yet needed has to come from the Ohio Dept. of Transportation. <br />Mr. Zurawski has requested this information on several occasions and is still <br />waiting for same. Discussion continued. <br />
