Council Minutes of 1-17-78 -7_ Under Old Business: Krs. Beringer referred to report from Mr. Jackmsa with respect to driveways at Zayre's and ~tecreation Comprlsu. Mrs. Beringer referred to noise ordi~e that has been in Envirornasntal Control Committee. Mr, Wilamosky addressed Council at lemgth with his views on I-480 as it relates to North Olmsted in particular the ~iwse a.ysis statwest~t s referred to cross- over at Cypress Drive, etc. Eegussted a foist rseetiag of Emvironwental Control Committee and Long Range Playing C.ttmer to review the ~nviroa~-tal fact Study and the Noise Analysis Study. Discussion continued', I#syar l~xiet~iowaki stated the Administration is also workin* on the Impact Statpct s~1 noise abatement procedures and would like to be included in any asetitsgs. A point meeting will be held February 1, 1978, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. Under New Business: Mayor Swietyniowski announced that Thor war ewa~ing is "ALryor's Listening Night" from 7:30 P.M. , in his office at City ~stl, to listen to resiwdeats' problems or suggestions. Mayor encourages high school students to participate. Mrs. Petrigac has received requests for thr•rs-clay stop signs at Marquette ~ Laurel Lane, Dogwood Trail, Winton Park & Lirt twsae and corner of Lensing and Oring Rd. President Lispert referred requests into Trsnsportation Casetittee and stated the Committee may wish to consult S:fety Director on these requests. Mr. Logan has received a request for a stop sign at intersection of Georgette & Elm. President Lampert referred same into Transportation Cc~aittee. Mr. Beaty asked Mayor Swietyniowski if he could .give Council some of the experience and qualifications that warranted the increase in salaries of the new Sercrice Director and new Safety Director. Mayor Saietyniowski stated the salaries fall within the range that was passed by Council; they are not at the tap of their range; feels the Directors are qualified for their postionet and verve appointed solely on merit. Mrs. Beringer referred to the elimination of the positoxc of Public Works Commissioner and the new Service Director has undertaken that responsibility also. Mayor aEated on a dollar per dollar basis the City served $2,000. in the month of January alone; however that really isn't the point. The Mayor hired his Directors solely on their merit. Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Pinnace Cos.ttee t~reting on Jaunary 26, 1978, 8:00 P.M., City Nall, and requested Finepnce Director, Awdsiaistration to be in attendance. Mr. Boehmer moved for adjourne+erat, sewc~rd by Kr. Beaty. A#firmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sha°we, tilamosky. Motion carried.
