Is <br />waiting for the cost estimates from the Service Director on these streets so they can <br />be included in the appropriation ordinance. Has scheduled a meetir.g on March 12th at <br />8a00 P.M. for this purpoae. <br />2) As Chairman of the Streets and Drainage Comuittee, and is sure that Caunc#.l t-tecmbers <br />will agree, is not satigfied with the snow removal after the receat snow storm. The <br />City awarded a bid to J. J. Turner on October 6th with eupectativn vf clolieery of two <br />snaw plows within 120 days. The sreow came and these plows had not been delivered. It <br />is unfortunate that somethiag waen't dotte wtten the 120 daqs were up to try to get <br />delivery of these plows which wmu1d have alleviated the problem. tdili echedule a <br />meeting as soon as possible to review the program of snow remaval wifih the Service <br />Director and the Superintea;demt of the Sezvice Department. Haa msde suggest3ons in the <br />past about working out a different system of snaw reutoval and th!e" suggastians have <br />never been followed. Would like to have a cvmplete review of just haw the zones work. <br />Maybe there are more streets in a zone ncna than thsre were a few yeaxs ago. Faels it <br />needs serious consideration so that no one will have to go through a period such as <br />the one whieh occurred last weekend. 14ill be setting up a meeting in the near future <br />for the sole purpose of discussing anow removal. <br />Mrs. Petrigac requested that Mrs. Saratnger notify her and other Members af Council when <br />the meeting will be held with the Superintendent and Service Director hecause she is <br />in complete agreement with what Mrs. Saringer just reported. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman of Transportation and Public Safety, Health, and Welfare Comanittees <br />reported: 1} Committee met and discussed Ordinance Nos. 79-27 and 79-28 which are on <br />second reading tonight. <br />2) Committee also discussed three liquor applications. Safety Committee riember, 74r. <br />Wil,amosky will report out on these. <br />On behalf of the Safety Coatmittee, Air. Wilamosky reported: 1) Camittee met and dis- <br />cussed an application for a D-I, D-2, and I?-6 license transfer from Spaghetti Company <br />2, Inc., 4690 Great Northerq Boulevard to Parkway Country Club, Inc., and Spaghetti <br />Company 2, Inc., a partnership. Committee has no objection. <br />2) Committee discussed an apglication for a D-3 and D-3A Iicense transfer from Parkway <br />Country Club, Inc., 30850 Lorain Rcad, to Parkway Country Club, Tnc., and Sgaghetti <br />Company 2, Inc., a partnership, at 4690 Great Northern Boulevard. Committee has no <br />ob3ection. <br />3) Committee discussed an applicatlon #'or a C-1 and C-2 license transfer from Dover <br />Center Meats, Inc., 27069 Lorain Road, to George aud Samira Shauha, DBA Dover Center <br />Meats, 27069 Lorain Road. Committee has no objection. <br />4) Mr. Wilamosky moved tttat Couacil not phject to these applications, seconded bq <br />Mrs. Saringer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Petrigac, Sar3nger, Sharpe, Wilamosky. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman of Finance Committee reported: 1) Finance Committee met on <br />February 22nd and discus"d Adffiinistration's recowmendations with respect to 1979 <br />appropriati.on ordinance. Cvvered most of the Genezal Fund line iteme. Committee met <br />again on March lst and continued review and discussion of appropriations. Couneilman <br />Boehmer, Finance Director and '.i'Iagor were also in attendaace. <br />2) Finance Committee intended to meet jointly with the Recreation Committee on March lst, <br />= to discuss Ordinance No. 79-25. This joint meeting did not occur. Will resche8ule the <br />meeting to discuss Ordinance No. 79-25. <br />3) Ordinance No. 79-37 was added to the agenda tonight. This appropriation represents <br />fixed and variable expenditures for the pear 1979. Committee will continue to review <br />for any possible or necessary chaxiges.
